Abstract

We analyze a multi-level atom inside a driven optical cavity, with two orthogonally polarized modes. We discuss entanglement between the atom and two modes, in particular when the undriven mode is highly lossy.

We consider multilevel atoms in a cavity supporting two orthogonally polarized modes, one driven and one undriven. For weak driving, the system has a quasi steady state, with bistability and interesting dynamics at larger drives.

Entanglement in a Cavity QED system with a multi-level atom in a weakly driven two-mode cavity

For a 4-level atom in a weakly driven 2-mode cavity, we explore the entanglement between the atom, and the field modes. We explore the relation between various cross-correlation functions and the usual measures of entanglement.

Multipartite Atom(s)-Field Entanglement in Cavity QED

We consider the entanglement between a multi-level atom and two cavity modes for a cavity QED system, find that cross-correlations between the two modes are witness to atom-field entanglement. Concurrences and log negativities are also calculated.

We measure an entanglement witness of a cavity QED system with the cross correlation of its orthogonal modes. The driven mode has information about the field, while the nondriven about the atom through spontaneous emission.
