Abstract

The two-excitation system comprising two two-level atoms resonantly interacting with two coupled cavities is analyzed. The evolution of the state vector of the system is given when the total excitation number equals two.By means of the numerical calculations, the temporal evolution in the entanglement is investigated between the atoms, between the cavities,as well as between the atom and the local cavity mode. The influences of coupling constant between cavities on the entanglements are discussed. The results obtained show that atom and atom are separable, and the cavity-cavity entanglement and the atom-cavity entanglement are weakened with increasing of the coupling constant between cavities.

We study the entanglement dynamics of the system composed of two two-level atoms resonantly interacting with two coupled cavities. The evolutions of atom-atom entanglement, cavity-cavity entanglement and atom-cavity entanglement are investigated. The influence of coupling constant between cavities on entanglement property is discussed. The numerical results show that atom-atom entanglement property is strengthened while atom-cavity entanglement property and cavity-cavity entanglement property are weakened with the increasing of the coupling constant between cavities.

We study the entanglement dynamics of the system composed of a Λ-type atom and a V-type atom resonantly interacting with two coupled cavities. The evolution of the state vector of the system is given. We investigate the evolutions of atom-atom entanglement, cavity-cavity entanglement, and atom-cavity entanglement by Negativity. The influences of cavity-cavity coupling coefficient on the entanglements are discussed. The entanglement properties in the system of two double-level atoms trapped in two coupled cavities

LU Dao-min

We consider a system consisting of two two-level atoms interacting with two coupled cavities via a two-photon hopping. Two atoms are individually trapped in two coupled cavities. The evolution of the state vector of the system is given by solving the Schrodinger equation.Negativity is used to quantify the degree of entanglement.By means of the numerical calculations,we investigate the temporal evolution in the entanglement between atoms and that between atom and cavity.Through comparing the results of different cavity-cavity coupling coefficients, the influence of cavity-cavity coupling coefficient on the entanglement is discussed. The obtained results show that the atom-atom entanglement and atom-cavity entanglement both display the evolution which is from the irregular oscillations to quasi-periodic oscillation with the cavity-cavity coupling coefficient increasing. The average value of atom-atom entanglement and that of atom-cavity entanglement sometimes increase and sometimes decrease. It shows that there is non-linear relationship between atom-atom entanglement and cavity-cavity coupling coefficient,or between atom-cavity entanglement and cavity-cavity coupling coefficient. On the other hand, when the cavity-cavity coupling coefficient is small, the entanglement between atom and cavity exhibits the phenomenon of collapse and recovery.

Entanglement dynamics in the system of W-like states atoms interacting with coupled cavities

LU Dao-min

In this paper,we consider the situation that two of three identical two-level atoms are trapped in two coupled cavities separately and another atom is outside the cavity. The evolution of the state vector of the system is given.Three atoms are in like-W state, and optical cavities are all in vacuum state initially.Negativity is adopted to quantify the degree of entanglement.By means of the numerical calculations,we investigate the temporal evolutions of the entanglement between atoms. The influences of coupling constant between cavities and the parameter describing the atomic initial state on the entanglements are discussed. The results show that the disentanglement time zone of atom-atom entanglement is reduced, and the curve peaks of entanglements increase as initial entanglement between atoms increases. This indicates that the entanglement between atoms is strengthened with the increase of initial entanglement between atoms. The atom-atom entanglement is also strengthened with the increase of the coupling constant between cavities. On the other hand,we consider the case which the state of atom outside cavity is measured. When a direct selective measurement is performed or not,the effect of the state-selective measurement on the entanglement is discussed. We find that the entanglement between atoms can be strengthened through the state-selective measurement.

Quantum properties of the field in the system of two atoms trapped in coupled cavities

We study the two-excitation system comprising two two-level atoms resonantly interacting with two coupled cavities. The evolution of the state vector of the system is given.By means of the numerical calculations,we investigate the evolution of the second-order correlation function of the field and that of Mandel Q function. The influences of coupling constant between cavities and state-selective measurement of the atom on the second-order correlation function and Mandel Q function are discussed. The results obtained show that the second-order correlation function or Mandel Q function has a nonlinear relation with increasing of the cavity-cavity coupling coefficient. On the other hand, the sub-Poissonian distribution of the field can be strengthened through the state-selective measurement on the atom.
