Abstract

We investigate how an optical squeezed chaotic field(SCF) evolves in an amplitude dissipation channel. We have used the integration within ordered product of operators technique to derive its evolution law. We also show that the density operator of SCF can be viewed as a generating field of the squeezed number state.

Evolution of the chaotic field in the laser process: evolution law of density operator and photon number decay

Nian-Quan Jiang, Hong-Yi Fan, Liyun Hu

Based on the Kraus operator of laser theory which we derived in [2] and by virtue of the technique of integration within ordered product of operators we exactly calculate the evolving result of a chaotic field, governed by the master equation describing the laser process, we find that the initial density operator evolves into a new chaotic field, with where g and κ represent the cavity gain and loss of the laser, respectively. When g = 0, the system reduces to an amplitude dissipative channel, and f' becomes −ln [(e−f − 1) e2κt + 1]. The law of photon number decay in this process is evaluated, and the corresponding Wigner function's evolution is also demonstrated.

Damping of displaced chaotic light field in amplitude dissipation channel*

Ke Zhang, Lanlan Li, Hong-Yi Fan

We explore how a displaced chaotic light (DCL) behaves in an amplitude dissipation channel, and what is its time evolution formula of photon number distribution. With the use of the method of integration within ordered product product of operator (IWOP) and the new binomial theorem involving two-variable Hermite polynomials we obtain the evolution law of DCL in the channel.

Evolution of the single-mode squeezed vacuum state in amplitude dissipative channel

Hong-Yi Fan, Shuai Wang, Liyun Hu

Using the way of deriving infinitive sum representation of density operator as a solution to the master equation describing the amplitude dissipative channel by virtue of the entangled state representation, we show manifestly how the initial density operator of a single-mode squeezed vacuum state evolves into a definite mixed state which turns out to be a squeezed chaotic state with decreasing-squeezing and decoherence. We investigate average photon number, photon statistics distributions for this mixed state.

Time evolution law of the Laguerre-polynomial-weighted chaotic photon field in an amplitude-damping channel

Cheng Da, Qian-Fan Chen, Pengfei Zhang +1 more

We examine how a Laguerre-polynomial-weighted chaotic photon field (LPWCPF), whose density operator is [Formula: see text], evolves in an amplitude-damping channel. By using a newly derived generating function of two-variable Hermite polynomials we obtain the evolution law of LPWCPF, which turns out to be a new LPWCPF with a new parameter, depending on 1 − e−2κt, where κ represents decay rate. The technique of integration (summation) within an ordered product of operators is used in our discussions.

Time evolution law of a two-mode squeezed light field passing through twin diffusion channels

Hai-jun Yu, Hong-Yi Fan

We explore the time evolution law of a two-mode squeezed light field (pure state) passing through twin diffusion channels, and we find that the final state is a squeezed chaotic light field (mixed state) with entanglement, which shows that even though the two channels are independent of each other, since the two modes of the initial state are entangled with each other, the final state remains entangled. Nevertheless, although the squeezing (entanglement) between the two modes is weakened after the diffusion, it is not completely removed. We also highlight the law of photon number evolution. In the calculation process used in this paper, we make full use of the summation method within the ordered product of operators and the generating function formula for two-variable Hermite polynomials.
