Abstract

We explore how a displaced chaotic light (DCL) behaves in an amplitude dissipation channel, and what is its time evolution formula of photon number distribution. With the use of the method of integration within ordered product product of operator (IWOP) and the new binomial theorem involving two-variable Hermite polynomials we obtain the evolution law of DCL in the channel.

Time evolution law of the Laguerre-polynomial-weighted chaotic photon field in an amplitude-damping channel

We examine how a Laguerre-polynomial-weighted chaotic photon field (LPWCPF), whose density operator is [Formula: see text], evolves in an amplitude-damping channel. By using a newly derived generating function of two-variable Hermite polynomials we obtain the evolution law of LPWCPF, which turns out to be a new LPWCPF with a new parameter, depending on 1 − e−2κt, where κ represents decay rate. The technique of integration (summation) within an ordered product of operators is used in our discussions.

We investigate how an optical squeezed chaotic field(SCF) evolves in an amplitude dissipation channel. We have used the integration within ordered product of operators technique to derive its evolution law. We also show that the density operator of SCF can be viewed as a generating field of the squeezed number state.

A new optical field generated as an output of the displaced Fock state in an amplitude dissipative channel

Xuefen Xu, Hong-Yi Fan

We propose a new optical field and show that such an optical field can be generated as an output of a displaced Fock state in an amplitude dissipative channel. We derive new generating function formulas and binomial formula involving two-variable Hermite polynomials to reach this result. The photon number average in this new optical field is which indicates that controlling the photon number can be realized by adjusting the value of m or |α| 2 or κ . The time evolution law of displaced Fock state in a thermo reservoir is thus revealed.

Photon-added chaotic field and its damping in a thermo enviroment

We propose a new photon field in quantum field theory, named Laguerre-polynomial-weighted chaotic field. This field will emerge when an initial photon-added chaotic field, which is represented by its density operator [Formula: see text], dissipates in an amplitude damping channel described by time evolution equation [Formula: see text], where κ is a damping coefficient, that is, the initial field will evolve into [Formula: see text] with [Formula: see text], where Ls is the s-order Laguerre-polynomial, and : : denotes normal ordering. We employ the method of summation within an ordered product of operators to obtain our result.
