ENERGY APPROACH TO COLLISIONAL IONIZATION OF THE RYDBERG ATOMS: QUANTUM DEFECT APPROXIMATION

T. N. Zelentsova, Yu. M. Lopatkin, L. V. Nikola +2 more

Within the energy approach (S-matrix formalism) it is presented a new approach to collisional ionization of the Rydberg atoms in the quantum defect approximation. The Rydberg systems theory is a basis for creation of new class of the atomic sensors.
