Abstract

The semi-classical theory was utilized to establish the theoretical model of la ser-induced dispersion optical filter (LIDOF). By solving the density matrix equ ations, we gained the susceptibility. The theoretical transmission curve of K- 694nm LIDOF was obtained, which agrees basically with the experimental result.

In this paper, the semi-classical theory was utilized to theoretically analyze K-532nm Laser-induced dispersion optical filter (LIDOF), and theoretical model was given. By solving the density matrix equations, the system induced polarizability was gained, and eventually the transmission spectra were gained by theoretical calculation.

Theoretical investigation of induced-dichroism-excited atomic line filter

Yundong Zhang, Xutao Sun, Zhusong He +1 more

A theoretical model for the Laser induced dispersion optical filter (LIDOF) is presented. The filter has a higher transmission and a narrower line width than excited-state Faraday anomalous dispersion optical-filter (ESFADOF). The theoretical treatment is valid for different atoms LIDOF systems.

Jiang Wang

This paper reports the theoretical study on the transmission efficiency, bandwidth and frequency shift of anomalous dispersion atomic optical filter with off axis incident beam. The experimental transmission spectrum of anomalous dispersion atomic optical filter with off axis incident beam is given in this paper, which agrees well with the theoretical result. The results will give the theoretical foundation for the use of anomalous dispersion atomic optical filter in a wide field of view acquisition approach of inter satellite or free space laser communications, which will be propitious to the pointing and acquisition in free space.

Faraday anomalous dispersion optical filter

Yang Cao, Anhong Dang, YaoQiang HAN +3 more

The function and requirements of optical filter for different systems are introduced, whereby the distinctions of atomic optical filter in comparison to the traditional optical filter are presented and the development of atomic filter is summarized. Furthermore, a general model for calculating the transmittance of Faraday anomalous dispersion optical filter (FADOF) is presented, which is applicable for both passive and active working modes of FADOF. It shows that the theoretical calculation match the experimental results perfectly. Also, we report the progress on the theory and experiment research of passive and active FADOF in our group.

A study of the potassium excited state Stark anomalous dispersion optical filter at 532.33 nm

Xiaoling Jia, Guochun Wan, Zhongyi Wang

The potassium tunable excited state Stark anomalous dispersion optical filter (SADOF) at 532.33 nm was studied theoretically and experimentally. The theoretical model of SADOF was deduced and the transmission of SADOF was calculated. The transmission spectra of potassium SADOF in different electric fields were measured and the experimental frequency shifts of SADOF versus the strengths of the electric field were given. Furthermore, the comparison between the experimental results with the corresponding theoretically simulated results has been completed. The comparison shows that our experimental results agree with the theoretically simulated results in general.
