On Materialist Visions of the Mindless Evolution of Minds from Mindless Matter

Abstract

Materialists cling to the conviction that ‘matter’ is the ultimate constituent of the process of reality, as when Dennett asserts that a “mindless little scrap of molecular machinery” is the basis for the development of mind. However, the advent of the quantum revolution indicates that the ultimate ‘stuff’ of the process of reality, made up of quantum fields, is insubstantial and immaterial. The unfolding quantum teleological perspective suggests that that there is a mind-like inner teleological ‘pressure’ operating within the quantum realm of potentiality which functions in order to manifest the potentialities into experienced ‘realities’.

The Self-Aware Emptiness of the Quantum Universe

Graham P. Smetham

Some of Zurek’s remarks seem to indicate that he thinks that his analysis undermines the ‘ultimate evidence’ that the classical world is entangled and dependent upon consciousness. However, a rigorous analysis shows that the opposite is the case; Zurek’s epiontic quantum Darwinian classical universe is ultimately dependent upon consciousness. It would seem that the entire epiontic process of the evolution of reality is geared towards the production of ever greater levels of sentient awareness and the material world is an ‘advertising billboard’ for a realm of solidity amidst the ‘unreal’ ‘dream stuff’ of the quantum realm within which individualized consciousness can grow to fruition. And the reason that the apparent solidity of the apparently material universe comes into being is because the universe is nothing more than an enormous and multitudinous ultimately immaterial epiontic information exchange which takes place within the quantum ‘dream stuff is made of.’

Quantum Entanglement, Consciousness & Evolution

Graham P. Smetham

For physicists such as Bohm, Planck, Schrodinger, Heisenberg and others, consciousness, or potential consciousness, is an innate and inseparable aspect of the quantum immaterial realm which underlies the apparently material realm.  Furthermore, as Bohm states, “every part of the universe is related to every other part but in different degrees;” this interconnection accounts for a deep level of the evolutionary interrelationships between creatures and environments.  Because of the deeply connected nature of the quantum field there must be a quantum informational interconnection between environments and the creatures within them. The supporters of the hardcore materialist worldview tend to consider, without actually thinking too much (if at all), that anyone involved in scientifically investigating the nature of quantum reality and its relationship to the ‘observer’ as being so irredeemably infected with what these ‘rationalists’ call ‘woo’ that they should not be taken seriously. In this article we take a more in depth look at the crucial issues raised by the paper that Tsakiris unsuccessfully attempted to draw to the unwilling attention of a materialist.

The Quantum Geometry of Consciousness: Synthesist Mechanics, Scientific Incompatibilities, Super-Intelligent AI, and the Perception of Reality

Vincent James Anthony Johannes Førde

Perceived reality is an illusion. We exist in a universal quantum geometrical system that operates because of consciousness, not in isolation from it.Consciousness is not a byproduct of matter.Matter is arguably a by-product of consciousness, as matter is essentially structurally indistinct and far less tangible than what classical, materialist science has led us to believe.Consciousness stimulates excitations and changes in the quantum field; the omnipresent energy baseline field of the universe. This facilitates quantum collapse of probability waveforms that existed in super-position prior to this process.Reality is manifested initially via sound, and secondarily, via light, both of which are fundamentally quantum information data streams that encode holographic, atomic/quantum field geometrical constructs. These encoded quantum/sound/light geometrical formations, are essentially, reality. The classical physical world that we perceive and experience, and the nebulous, nonlinear, and exceptional nature of quantum mechanics, are potentially irreconcilable.Arguably, the only way this is not the case, is if an intermediary processing modality of physics can be found, one that bridges the diametrically opposed features of classical and quantum physics by incorporating and embodying, to varying extents, aspects from both. This research offers an appellation and classification for this third discipline: synthesist mechanics. If synthesist mechanics can be discovered, as our technological measuring capabilities continue to improve, which may render such a discovery possible, the inherent reality of both our perceived, classical reality, and the mechanics of quantum physics, will be affirmed. However, if synthesist mechanics cannot be found, as has proved to be the case thus far, we must accept the logical, deductive revelation this will pose, that ultimately, our perceived reality is nothing more than an interpretative illusion; a cognitive, translational impression that life subconsciously provides itself with in order to foster reflective, spatiotemporal, geometry-based interactions and experiences. This research confirms that we live in a self-rendering, generative illusion, which exists so that individualised shards of consciousness may interact with others.Ultimately, perceived reality is an illusion derived from the constant quantum interpretations that are made by consciousness via the quantum field. This process provides the unified consciousness behind reality with opportunities to experience, acknowledge, actualise, remove, or refine all possible variances of itself.Existence is the quantum dance consciousness performs in the darkness so that it may illuminate itself.

Quantum Mindnature Matrix: Mechanisms of Formative Causation of Evolution

Graham P. Smetham

The evidence which has been claimed for the formative causation hypothesis is controversial and is generally discounted by mainstream workers in the field. And, because the power of the dominance of the materialist worldview is still overwhelming the kind of evidence required in order to convince skeptics would have to be irresistible. This is because there seems to be a deeply ingrained antagonistic prejudice towards theories which threaten materialistic approaches to understanding the process of reality. The approach adopted within the quantum Mindnature perspective in challenging the mechanistic-materialist worldview begins from a significantly different point because it takes the quantum evidence as it is now as the ground for developing a metaphysical overview, an overview which precisely coheres with all significant current quantum perspectives. As this work shows the breadth, scope and depth of the overarching and detailed metaphysical perspective is so dramatic that it is difficult to conceive of an alternative metaphysical perspective bringing together diverse areas of discourse together in such a detailed and precise manner. It was not anticipated at the outset, for instance, that the natural evolutionary development of the quantum Mindnature perspective itself would account for the process of evolution as well as otherwise unexplained phenomena within the field of evolutionary development. And one of the significant implications of this perspective is that something akin to formative causation must be operating at, and through, the quantum level.
