Abstract

We study two superconducting charge qubits sharing a large Josephson junction with transient effects considered for the case of the linear sweep model to explore the influence of a time-varying field on the entanglement of the qubits. We show that the fluctuations in the entanglement can be controlled by the transient effects. Moreover, the time-averaged entanglement oscillates smoothly and then fluctuates with the increasing influence of the transient effects.

Control of the Entanglement between Two Josephson Charge Qubits

We consider a model which consists of two coupled superconducting charge qubits by sharing a large Josephson junction. The time evolution of entanglement between two Josephson charge qubits is investigated by employing the concurrence. We examine the influence of the initial mean photon number, the relative phase and the amplitude of the two qubits on the time evolution of entanglement. The results show that the initial mean photon number, the relative phase and the amplitude of the two qubits play an important role in the evolution of entanglement.

Entanglement of two superconducting charge qubits with the Glauber–Lachs state

Hünkar Kayhan

We investigate the entanglement properties of two superconducting charge qubits that share a large Josephson junction where the field is assumed to be prepared initially in a Glauber–Lachs state. We explore the increasing effect of the chaotic field due to the thermal photons on the entanglement properties of these two superconducting charge qubits. We show that the entanglement of the qubits is very sensitive to thermal photons. The chaotic effect of the field has a reducing effect on the entanglement degree of the qubits. Also, we draw a parallelism between the Glauber–Lachs state and the random telegraph noise by means of the entanglement.

Linear Entropy and Entanglement in Two-Charge-Qubit Circuits

Liao Qing-Hong, Fang Guang-Yu, Wang Yue-Yuan +2 more

We consider a model that contains two coupled superconducting charge qubits by sharing a large Josephson junction. We examine the dynamical properties of the linear entropy of two qubits and the probability of both qubits being in an excited state. The results show that the initial mean photon number, the initial phase of the field and the relative phase of the two qubits' levels play an important role in the evolution of the linear entropy of the two qubits and the probability.

Entanglement properties in two superconducting charge qubits system interacting with a squeezed coherent state

Liao Qing-hon

The dynamics of entanglement of two superconducting charge qubit system interacting with a squeezed coherent state were examined by means of linear entropy. The influence of the relative phase of the two qubits' levels and squeezing parameter on the time evolution of linear entropy was discussed. The results showed that the linear entropy almost tends to zero at half the revival time when the two qubits were initially in the maximally entangled state. It was also showed that a greater number of oscillations of the linear entropy were observed with the increasing of squeezing parameter and the sustainment time of the maximum entropy was increased. There was no change in the maximum value of the linear entropy. Moreover, the relative phase of the two qubits' levels decreased the degree of entanglement between the two qubits and the field.

Quantum correlations in two coupled superconducting charge qubits

Josep Amengual i Batle, Armen G. Bagdasaryan, Ahmed Farouk +2 more

Quantum correlations are considered analytically in a model that contains two coupled superconducting charge qubits sharing a large Josephson junction. Dynamical properties for the reduced two-qubit state are addressed in the quantum evolution when the coupling between the field and the qubits is either constant or time-dependent. In the latter case, adiabatic and nonergodic features are present for extremely low and fast evolutions, respectively. Finally, the case where the coupling drops to zero is also considered.

Control of Sudden Death of Entanglement by Transient Effects

Hünkar Kayhan

We investigate the properties of entanglement between an isolated atom and a Jaynes—Cummings atom in the presence of transient effects. These effects are due to the modulation of the atom-field coupling whose explicit time-dependence is considered for the case of the linear sweep. We show that the sudden death of entanglement can be controlled by the transient effects. These effects can suppress the sudden death of entanglement in time.
