Abstract

The Dirac equation in (1+1) dimension with the complex vector potential coupling that leads to an effective Hulthen potential model is solved. Polynomial solutions are obtained using the method of Nikiforov-Uvarov. Energy spectrum and corresponding wave-functions are obtained.

Exact Eigenvalues and Eigenfunctions of the Hulthen Potential in the PT-Symmetry for Any Angular Momentum

Sameer M. Ikhdair, R. Sever

The Schrodinger equation with the PT-symmetric Hulthen potential is solved exactly by taking into account effect of the centrifugal barrier for any l-state. Eigenfunctions are obtained in terms of the Jacobi polynomials. The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the computations. Our numerical results are in good agreement with the ones obtained before. BOUND-STATES OF A SEMI-RELATIVISTIC EQUATION FOR THE ${\cal PT}$-SYMMETRIC GENERALIZED HULTHÉN POTENTIAL BY THE NIKIFOROV–UVAROV METHOD

Sameer M. Ikhdair, R. Sever

The one-dimensional semi-relativistic equation has been solved for the [Formula: see text]-symmetric generalized Hulthén potential. The Nikiforov–Uvarov (NU) method which is based on solving the second-order linear differential equations by reduction to a generalized equation of hypergeometric type, is used to obtain exact energy eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions. We have investigated the positive and negative exact bound states of the s-states for different types of complex generalized Hulthén potentials.

The Klein–Gordon equation of generalized Hulthén potential in complex quantum mechanics

Mehmet Şimşek, Harun Eğrifes

We have investigated the reality of exact bound states of complex and/or PT-symmetric non-Hermitian exponential-type generalized Hulthen potential. The Klein–Gordon equation has been solved by using the Nikiforov–Uvarov method which is based on solving the second-order linear differential equations by reduction to a generalized equation of hypergeometric type. In many cases of interest, negative and positive energy states have been discussed for different types of complex potentials.

Exact Solution of Generalized Woods Saxon Potential in PT Symmetric Quantum Mechanics via Nikiforov Uvarov Method

Cüneyt Berkdemir, Ayşe Berkdemir, R. Sever

We investigate complex PT and non-PT-symmetric forms of the generalized Woods- Saxon potential. We also look for exact solutions of the Schrodinger equation for the PT and/or non-PT-symmetric potentials of the kind mentioned above. Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used to obtain their energy eigenvalues and associated eigenfunctions.
