Polar Coding for Secure Transmission in MISO Fading Wiretap Channels

Mengfan Zheng, Meixia Tao, Wen Chen

In this paper, we propose a polar coding scheme for secure communication over the multiple-input, single-output, single-antenna eavesdropper (MISOSE) fading channel. We consider the case of block fading channels with known eavesdropper channel state information (CSI) and the case of fading channels with known eavesdropper channel distribution information (CDI). We use the artificial noise assisted secure precoding method to maximize the secrecy capacity in the first case, and to overcome the unawareness of the eavesdropper CSI in the second case. We show that our proposed scheme can provide both reliable and secure communication over the MISOSE channel with low encoding and decoding complexity.

Secrecy Performance of MISO Fluctuating Two-Ray Fading Channels

Xiang Gao, Rui Jie Zhao, Hongxin Lin +1 more

In the fluctuating two-ray (FTR) fading channel, we analyze the physical layer security performance of the multiple-input single-output (MISO) millimeter wave communication system in the presence of an eavesdropper. To get physical and technical insights into the impact of channel parameters on secrecy performance, we first derive the numerical expressions of the security of the physical layer security, such as the average secrecy capacity and the secrecy outage probability. Then we derive the lower bound of secrecy outage probability and the probability of strictly positive secrecy capacity. The theoretical results are corroborated by Monte Carlo simulations.

Secrecy Rate for MISO Rayleigh Fading Channels with Relative Distance of Eavesdropper

Namseok Chang, Chan‐Byoung Chae, Jeongseok Ha +1 more

In this letter, we extend the results of secure transmission with artificial noise over multiple-input single-output (MISO) wiretap channels. There is a case such that the transmitter knows the relative distance of the eavesdropper. That is, it knows the distance from itself to the eavesdropper divided by its distance to the legitimate receiver. The study found that when the transmitter utilizes information about the relative distance of the passive eavesdropper, the system can achieve a significant increase in its secrecy rate. This work may be useful evaluating a secure communication system in where a secure-zone is enforced and is accessible, exclusively, to the legitimate receiver.
