Quantum Entanglement in Coupled Lossy Waveguides Using SU(2) and SU(1, 1) Thermo-Algebras

Abstract

In this paper, the master equation for the coupled lossy waveguides is solved using the thermofield dynamics (TFD) formalism. This formalism allows the use of the underlying symmetry algebras SU(2) and SU(1, 1), associated with the Hamiltonian of the coupled lossy waveguides, to compute entanglement and decoherence as a function of time for various input states such as NOON states and thermal states.

Entanglement Evolution of Noisy Quantum Systems: Master Equation-TFD Solutions

Urjjarani Patel, KVS Shiv Chaitanya

In this paper, Thermofield Dynamics (TFD) is applied to map a quantum optics nonlinear master equation into a Schrodinger-like equation for any arbitrary initial condition. This formalism provides a more efficient way for solving open quantum system problems. Then we use the Hartree-Fock approximation to solve the master equations of two separate noisy quantum systems analytically, which allows us to analyze the entanglement and quantum mutual information in each case using the eigenvalues of a covariance matrix, followed by two-mode and single-mode squeezed states.

Entropy of entangled states and SU(1,1) and SU(2) symmetries

Ademir Eugenio de Santana, F. C. Khanna, M. Revzen

Based on a recent definition of a measure for entanglement [Plenio and Vedral, Contemp. Phys. 39, 431 (1998)], examples of maximum entangled states are presented. The construction of such states, which have symmetry SU(1,1) and SU(2), follows the guidance of thermofield dynamics formalism.

The entanglement evolution of the quantum optical systems

Urjjarani Patel, K. V. S. Shiv Chaitanya

Abstract In this paper, we apply the Thermofield Dynamics (TFD) method to transform a quantum optical master equation into a Schrödinger-like equation for an arbitrary initial condition, making it a preferred approach for solving open quantum system problems. Entanglement and quantum mutual information are analyzed for each case using the symplectic eigenvalues of the corresponding covariance matrix, followed by two-mode and single-mode squeezed states.

Lie algebras and generalized thermal coherent states

Sérgio Floquet, Marco A. S. Trindade, J. David M. Vianna

In this paper, we developed an algebraic formulation for the generalized thermal coherent states with a thermofield dynamics approach for multi-modes, based on coset space of Lie groups. In particular, we applied our construction on SU(2) and SU(1,[Formula: see text]1) symmetries and we obtain their thermal coherent states and density operator. We also calculate their thermal quantum Fidelity and thermal Wigner function.

Thermofield Dynamics and Path-Integral Formalism

Christyan Assis Siqueira

Thermofield Dynamics (TFD), a real time formalism for thermal quantum field theory, is formulated in terms of a path-integral approach following the Weinberg procedure. In order to assure precise rules for the development, we use a representation of Lie-algebras such that the TFD algebraic ingredients are derived, including the tilde conjugation rules. The association with the canonical formalism is obtained, and for the case of bosons, we introduce the Feynman diagrams and derive the n-point functions.
