Abstract

Abstract—The idea of embedding some information within a digital media, in such a way that the inserted data are intrinsically part of the media itself, has aroused a considerable interest in different fields. One of the more examined issues is the possibility of hiding the highest possible amount of information without affecting the visual quality of the host data. As opposed to the traditional hiding methods, which are using different mathematical methods in order to hide the information, steganography in quantum informatics implies an approach based on the laws of the quantum physics. This work has as a purpose to expand the field of applicability of the embedded information within a digital media from the classical informatics to the quantum one.

Hide Secrets Using the Power of Quantum Computers

Secret communication is everywhere around us today. Cryptography is being used to encrypt messages so that they can be read only by someone who has the key.Combining the art of steganography with the powers of computers has brought a method of hiding information to a whole new level. Steganography hides messages so that their very existence is undetectable. Stego Quantum Algorithm

Gabriela Mogos

Steganography is the art and science of hiding the fact that communication is taking place. Steganographic systems can hide messages inside of images or other digital objects. To a casual observer inspecting these images, the messages are invisible. The security of a classical steganographic system relies on the secrecy of the encoding system. Once the encoding system is known, the steganographic system is defeated. However, modern steganography should be detectable only if secret information is known, namely, asecret key. Because of their invasive nature, steganographic systems leave detectable traces within a medium's characteristics. This allows an eavesdropper to detect modified media, revealing that secret communication is taking place. Although the secret content is not exposed, its existence is revealed, which defeats the mainpurpose of steganography. This work has as purpose to expand the field of applicability of the steganography from the classical informatics to the quantum one.

Quantum Image Steganography Schemes for Data Hiding: A Survey

Nasro Min‐Allah, Naya Nagy, Malak Aljabri +5 more

Quantum steganography plays a critical role in embedding confidential data into carrier messages using quantum computing schemes. The quantum variant of steganography outperforms its classical counterpart from security, embedding efficiency and capacity, imperceptibility, and time-complexity perspectives. Considerable work has been carried out in the literature focusing on quantum steganography. However, a holistic view of available schemes is missing. This paper provides an overview of latest advances in the field of quantum-steganography and image-steganography schemes. Moreover, the paper includes discussion of improvements made in the aforementioned fields, a brief explanation of the methodologies used for each presented algorithm, and a comparative study of existing schemes.

Hybrid Quantum Steganographic Techniques for Secure Data Concealment in Quantum Communication

Sujata Jagtap, Vaishali Jagtap

Modern information security measures have changed as a result of the quick development of quantum computing and communication technologies. As computing power increases, traditional steganography methods are more susceptible to quantum attacks. By using quantum mechanical features like superposition, entanglement, and quantum error-correcting algorithms to safely hide data, quantum steganography shows promise as a solution. Quantum steganography is an advanced cyber security method that offers full secrecy from either classical or quantum hacking. Using quantum-resistant methods for secure (biometric) transmission, anti-spoofing, and privacy-preserving authentication, this work presents a quantum steganography technique that expands upon the benefits of digital imaging's Novel Enhanced Quantum Representation (NEQR). Our research and testing have demonstrated that our method is secure against a variety of attacks and provides defense against present and potential dangers while preserving the steganography characteristics of capacity and imperceptibility, making it one of the greatest choices for transmitting confidential data.

PREREQUISITES FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A QUANTUM STEGANOGRAPHY COMMUNICATION

Veselka Stoyanova

Several approaches and techniques exist to make communication via the internet secure, one of these approaches is steganography. Computer steganography can be defined as a method of hiding data in cover media so that others are not aware of its existence. Quantum computers, built on the principles of quantum physics, have introduced new possibilities for researchers in security and computer science. This paper explores the fundamentals of quantum computing, its achievements, and the challenges and future prospects it presents in the field of cryptography and steganography. Quantum computers give us a new approach to different kinds of complicated problems in security fields by creating multi-state computing spaces. The article deals with the steganography system which hides text inside images and after that realize quantum communication. The secret message is hidden in the cover image using Least Significant Bit (LSB) algorithm. The paper proposes an information transmission scheme with a quantum channel enabled. Quantum key distribution (QKD) is a secure communication method that implements a cryptographic protocol involving components of quantum mechanics.
