Abstract

By introducing orthogonal basis, the entangled coherent states are converted to discrete ones. We calculate their entanglement by concurrence their nonclassical effects, such as squeezing and antibunching. We find that the entanglement always follows either one of squeezing or antibunching and the entanglement increases with the increase of one of the nonclassical effects.

Entangled coherent states in symmetry phase spaceand their nonclassical effects

Xiaoyan Zhang, Ji‐Suo Wang

We discuss the entangled coherent states in symmetry phase space by introducing orthogonal basis, calculate their entanglement by means of concurrence, and investigate their squeezing effects of single-mode and two-mode and antibunching effects. The calculations indicate that the entangled coherent state in symmetry phase space is closely related to nonclassical effect.

Two Kinds of Entangled Coherent States and Their Nonclassical Effects

Bao-Lai Zhang, Dong Gao

As for two kinds of entangled coherent states, we have studied the relationship between the entanglement and the nonclassical effects; we calculate their entanglement by the concurrence and their nonclassical effects, such as squeezing and antiquating. We find that the entanglement always corresponds with one of squeezing and antiquating and the larger a nonclassical effect is, the stronger entanglement is. The result shows the entangle- ment has a deep relationship with the nonclassical effects.

Converting Nonclassicality into Entanglement

Nathan Killoran, Frank E. S. Steinhoff, Martin Bodo Plenio

Quantum mechanics exhibits a wide range of nonclassical features, of which entanglement in multipartite systems takes a central place. In several specific settings, it is well known that nonclassicality (e.g., squeezing, spin squeezing, coherence) can be converted into entanglement. In this work, we present a general framework, based on superposition, for structurally connecting and converting nonclassicality to entanglement. In addition to capturing the previously known results, this framework also allows us to uncover new entanglement convertibility theorems in two broad scenarios, one which is discrete and one which is continuous. In the discrete setting, the classical states can be any finite linearly independent set. For the continuous setting, the pertinent classical states are "symmetric coherent states," connected with symmetric representations of the group SU(K). These results generalize and link convertibility properties from the resource theory of coherence, spin coherent states, and optical coherent states, while also revealing important connections between local and nonlocal pictures of nonclassicality.

Squeezing Properties of Entangled Coherent States

Kuang Zhen-Hua

Quantum entanglement and squeezing are kinds of important nonclassical phenomena of quantum systems. In this paper entangling and squeezing properties of entangled coherent states are studied analytically and numerically. The realtions between two nonclassical effects of squeezing and entanglement are investigated in detail. It is found that the degree of squeezing can be increased or decreased through changing the degree of entanglement. And it is shown that squeezing properties of single-mode squeezing is very different from that of two-mode squeezing.

Quantum engineering and nonclassical properties of SU(1,1) and SU(2) entangled nonlinear coherent states

Amir Karimi, Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly

In this paper, after a brief review on the entangled coherent state, a general form of the entangled nonlinear coherent state has been introduced based on the nonlinear coherent states approach. By choosing particular f-deformation functions, theoretical schemes for generation of two distinct classes of such states associated with SU(1,1) and SU(2) groups are presented. The entanglement characteristic of the corresponding entangled coherent states has been studied by evaluating the concurrence. In the continuation, other nonclassical behaviors of the produced states have been analyzed by investigating sub-Poissonian photon statistics, the oscillatory photon number distribution, one- and two-mode quadrature squeezing, and sum and difference squeezing. Accordingly, in addition to their entanglement property, other nonclassicality features of the introduced states are well established in detail.
