Is described experiment by Demin on the interference of small diameter metal balls. The experimental results can be interpreted with a certain probability as the occurrence of the interference pattern at the fall of the balls through the two slits. This interpretation rejects the interpretation of the superposition of quantum particles as their simultaneous presence in two states or in two points of space at the one and the same time. The superposition principle implies that on the double-slit experiment quantum particle passes through both slits simultaneously. Experiment with the balls within the validity shows that for the appearance of the interference pattern the superposition is not necessary, because impossible to assume that the ball passes through the two slits simultaneously. In addition, it is can be verified.

The greatest, even the main mystery of physics is to experiment Jung for interference (double-slit experiment). Not possibly explain it, if to suppose the photon is a particle. But recognition of photon wave properties also does not allow non-contradictory to explain the interference pattern. On the one hand, the photon always leaves point on the photo-plate, which is incompatible with the wave nature of the photon. On the other hand, the photon in fact simultaneously passes through both slits, what is incompatible with his corpuscular nature. Many of the physical and scientific mysteries are extremely complicated as in the description, and in the arrangement of the experiment, but allow for an explanation, not contrary to logic and common sense. Experiment with the interference, on the contrary, is extremely simple in execution, however their impossible to explain. All the technical characteristics of the installation are simple in description (the source of photons, the interference grating, principles of phenomena and even mathematical calculation results), but a logical explanation, with position common sense, the linking them all in a single whole is impossible.
Путенихин П.В.
Young’s double slit experiments revived the wave theory of light. The standard interpretation is that the light behaves as waves before and after passing through the double slit, and the superposition of waves produces the interference pattern. Feynman called the double slit experiment the only mystery in quantum mechanics. In this article, we experimentally show the novel universal phenomena: (1) the light is particles, but waves: within macro-distance from a diaphragm, the light rays produce non-interference patterns; while near the screen, the photons produce orthogonal interference patterns; (2) the non-interference patterns evolve to the orthogonal interference patterns gradually in the same experiment; (3) the evolution of the patterns cannot be interpreted by either classic optics or the quantum optics; (4) the non-interference patterns and the orthogonal interference patterns can show on the screen simultaneously; (5) The convex lens stops the further evolution. The experiments: (1) challenge the classical optics and quantum optics; (2) violate both Bohr’s complementarity principle and wave particle duality; (3) provide profound phenomena for developing optics and for studying the nature of light; (4) suggest that a complete theory should be able to consistently interpret all phenomena, including the non-interference pattern, the interference pattern, and the evolution from the non-interference to the interference pattern in the same wave experiment.
Young's single- and two-photon experiments are explained using 6-component quantum and 1-component "quasi-classical" photon wave functions in coordinate representation, which are modeled by various mechanisms ofphoton diffraction on holes or types of simultaneous emission of two photons by (two) independent sources. This explanation is compared with the well-known version of the explanation of the interference of a particle "with itself when it passes "through both holes at once" in Young's experiment using Feynman's postulated amplitudes. It is argued that these amplitudes cannot be wave functions, in the literal sense, describing some states of quantum particles. In all cases, under the assumption of linear polarization of photons, a pronounced interference pattern was obtained, allowing us to conclude that the coordinate wave function of the photon is capable of explaining the phenomena of single- and two-photon interference. In turn, this conclusion makes it possible to associate the coordinate wave function of the photon (and two photons in an entangled state), measured in some recent experiments, with the "quasi-classical" wave function of the photon (and two photons), although it does not take into account its (their) polarization properties.
The double-slit experiment has stood for a century as the paradigmatic demonstration of quantum superposition: the standard interpretation holds that a particle passes through both slits simultaneously, existing in a superposition of two spatially separated states. This paper proposes a physically distinct alternative: the particle's matter wave — a real physical wave propagating through space in accordance with de Broglie's relation λ = h/p — passes through both slits, while the particle itself (matter) remains in an undetermined state until a constructive interference maximum is formed at the detection screen. The particle does not simultaneously occupy two locations; the wave does. This distinction eliminates the need for superposition as an ontological commitment while fully reproducing the observed interference pattern. We further show that the disappearance of the interference pattern upon which-path measurement is explained without invoking wavefunction collapse: the measurement interaction redirects the matter wave to a single-slit geometry, eliminating the two-wave interference condition. Three experimentally testable predictions distinguish this framework from the standard interpretation: (1) weak-measurement trajectory reconstruction should reveal single particle paths inconsistent with simultaneous two-slit passage; (2) diffraction fringe spacing should depend on the mass density of the slit material, because denser slit edges generate a steeper refractive-index gradient for the matter wave; (3) the fringe pattern should exhibit a density-dependent phase shift measurable with current matter-wave interferometry technology. This reinterpretation requires no new mathematical formalism — the Schrödinger equation and Born's rule are retained — but replaces the ontological claim of simultaneous multi-location existence with the physically consistent picture of matter-wave propagation through an undetermined-state particle.

С помощью моделирования волновой функции фотона в координатном представлении демонстрируется возникновение отчетливой интерференции в вероятности попадания двух одиночных фотонов в разные точки второго экрана в схеме опыта Юнга, если эти фотоны одновременно испускаются независимыми источниками. By modeling the photon wave function in the coordinate representation, the emergence of distinct interference in the probability density of hitting of the two single photons into different points of the second screen in scheme of Young’s experiment is demonstrated, if these photons were simultaneously emitted by independent sources.
