Abstract

Quantum communication is a novel communication approach for information transfer and this approach exhibits unparalleled security capability, making this approach a promising technology in various fields, including national security, finance industry and our daily life. In this article, we propose a gateway system for quantum communication phone user terminal extension. This gateway system provides viable solutions to various issues (connection of one quantum gateway to several quantum phones and program-controlled exchange) in the field of quantum communication network and assists in achieving communications between various phones via quantum gateway.

Quantum Gateway Security with Fault Tolerance

Jaganath Prasad Mohanty, Kamalakanta Mahapatra

The quantum communications is a far distant theoretical concept that has been taken up in many developing nations, to practically actualize it in daily activities. This has its own caveat which cannot be left unhindered. Networking with optical communication and controlling entangled-photons are areas that needs to be bridged with the assistance of quantum mechanics and physics of information theory. A quantum network test bed with existing quantum devices in real life network environment is being studied at NIST since a decade. This work highlights a part of the network gateway, that can assist in communicating over long channels and geographies, considering the loss of information in terms of qubits on the go. This work presents a concept to enhance secure exchange of information, in a faulty channel, and attempts to make the communication resilient to loss of qubits, following existing architecture.

Application of quantum telecommunication in multi-agent system

Stefalo Acha, Yi Sun

In the realm of multi-agent systems (MAS), communication delays emerge as a pivotal challenge, hindering efficient information exchange and synchronization among agents. This research proposes a novel framework leveraging quantum mechanics to address these delays and revolutionize agent interaction dynamics. The study investigates the application of quantum telecommunication and quantum computing technologies within a wireless multi-agent system (MAS) consisting of four agents. Three communication topologies star, mesh, and ring are explored. Quantum teleportation is utilized to enable state transfer between agents by encoding quantum information onto photons using properties such as polarization or phase. In quantum communication, the concept of discrete energy levels in atoms plays a crucial role in facilitating secure and efficient information exchange. These photons are transmitted through free-space optical channels, a form of wireless communication, thereby mitigating communication delays. Additionally, Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) provides unbreakable encryption, ensuring secure information exchange across the network. By integrating these technologies, this work addresses challenges such as noise, decoherence, and infrastructure limitations, demonstrating the potential of quantum telecommunication to transform wireless communication systems. While still in the early stages of development, quantum communication networks have been demonstrated using fiber optic cables and satellites, offering the potential for ultra-secure, long-distance communication. These advancements hold promise for applications in fields such as finance, healthcare, and national security. The integration of quantum telecommunication enables state transfer between agents, reducing communication delays and facilitating instantaneous information exchange by encoding quantum information onto photons using properties like polarization or phase. The findings contribute to the growing body of knowledge in quantum communication and lay the foundation for practical applications of quantum computing in complex systems. By addressing challenges related to scalability, noise resilience, and wireless implementation, this research advances the understanding of quantum technologies and their potential to enhance coordination, security, and efficiency in real-world multi-agent networks.

Quantum Chip Networking and Communication

Pawar Radhika Maruti, Patu Shradha Gangadhar, Kulkarni Amarja Bhaskar +1 more

Today’s mobile phones depend on towers, satellites, and the internet for communication. They need constant recharges, SIM cards, and network providers. But in the future, communication can become completely different with the help of Quantum Chips. Quantum communication is the process of sending information using quantum states of particles (like photons) instead of traditional electrical signals. These quantum states can represent data in ways that are more secure and faster than normal communication methods. Extremely secure communication (cannot be hacked without detection) Faster and more efficient information transfer, Useful for quantum networks and future internet systems. A Quantum Chip uses the principles of quantum mechanics, such as superposition and entanglement, to process and transfer information. If this chip is used inside a mobile phone, the device can connect directly with another mobile without the need for towers, satellites, or cables. This technology will make mobile communication Highly secure (hack-proof due to quantum properties) Recharge-free communication system Independent of existing network providers. In short, a mobile with a quantum chip will change the way people communicate, bringing the world closer to the era of Quantum Internet. Quantum communication does not require mobile towers, but it does require optical fiber or satellite links to transmit data securely.
