Abstract

Schwinger representation for angular momentum operators is extended to that for the quantized rotator by introducing four kinds of bosons. The basis vectors and fundamental operators of the quantized rotators are expressed in the closed forms with respect to the boson operators.

Phase Operators for Atomic System in Schwinger Boson Representation and their Properties

Fan Hong-Yi, Li Yong-ping

In terms of the Schwinger boson representation of angular momentum We introduce suitable phase operators which exhibit similar properties to those of the phase operators in radiation field into atomic system. With the help of them angular momentum's third component phase uncertainty relation are discussed. Also, the eigenstates of the Hermitian phase operator are derived.

On the Classical Interpretation of Schwinger Boson Representation for the Quantized Rotator

H. Ichihashi, M. Yamamura

A classical correspondence of Schwinger boson representation for the quantized rotator is investigated by the use of a coherent state. As one of the applications, the asymmetric rotator in the high spin limit is described, and the results are consistent with those given by Bohr and Mottelson.

The angular momentum theory in the schwinger boson representation is developedto derive a new normal product expression for the commutator [e~(iαJx), e~(iβJy] by meansof the integral technique within normal product, and the effect on the coherent statecaused by two rotations which are in different seqences. Some new normal productexpressions for exponential operators, sueh as e~(σJ)-e~(λJ)+ etc, are also derived and theirapplications in atomic coherent states are presented.
