Abstract

Boson expansions are given in closed form for the basis states and fundamental operators of the quantized rotator. The boson representation is especially useful for describing states of high spin.Received 2 January 1975DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevC.11.1426©1975 American Physical Society

Schwinger Boson Representation for the Quantized Rotator

M. Yamamura, T. Suzuki, H. Ichihashi

Schwinger representation for angular momentum operators is extended to that for the quantized rotator by introducing four kinds of bosons. The basis vectors and fundamental operators of the quantized rotators are expressed in the closed forms with respect to the boson operators.

On the Classical Interpretation of Schwinger Boson Representation for the Quantized Rotator

H. Ichihashi, M. Yamamura

A classical correspondence of Schwinger boson representation for the quantized rotator is investigated by the use of a coherent state. As one of the applications, the asymmetric rotator in the high spin limit is described, and the results are consistent with those given by Bohr and Mottelson.

Boson representations for systems of fermions

Jean-Paul Blaizot, Henri Orland

We present a new boson representation for systems of fermions. This representation allows a direct quantization of the mean field equations. The relation to existing boson representations is discussed.
