Abstract

A deterministic nonlocal hidden-variable theory with arbitrary initial conditions is consistent with quantum theory. The sufficiency conditions for the hidden variables are developed.Received 2 December 1983DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.29.1842©1984 American Physical Society

Against Quantum Nonlocality

Willy De Baere, Jan De Neve

Abstract It is shown that all quantum “contradictions” disappear if one drops the assumption of unique initial conditions for a hidden variable theory for individual quantum processes. Our proposal corresponds with a deterministic world evolution such that local physical conditions are nonreproducible, in agreement with empirical observation
