Abstract

We propose a scheme to realize a special quantum cloning machine (QCM) in cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). The QCM can copy the information from one atom to another two distant atoms trapped in cavity QED with the help of a single-photon pulse. By choosing different parameters, we can perform an optimal symmetry 1→2 real state QCM and an optimal symmetry 1→3 economical real state QCM.

We present a scheme to implement a special quantum cloning machine with quantum dot spins in cavity QED. The quantum cloning machine copies the information from a photon to other two distant quantum dots trapped in cavities with the help of a single-photon pulse. Choosing the different parameters, the scheme can implement optimal symmetric 1 → 2 universal, optimal symmetric 1 → 2 phase-covariant and optimal symmetric economical 1 → 3 phase-covariant quantum cloning machines. The present scheme is more economical in saving resource compared with previous schemes.

Realization of a general quantum cloning machine via cavity-assisted interaction

Bao‐Long Fang, Tao Wu, Liu Ye

We present a scheme to realize a general quantum cloning machine via cavity-assisted interaction. First, this scheme can prepare entangled states of three remote trapped atoms including the W state and the GHZ state. Based on this approach, the quantum information carried by a photon pulse or a trapped atom can be copied to other two trapped atoms. According to the known information of the initial state, the equipment can provide the optimal symmetric (asymmetric) universal and phase-covariant quantum cloning. Further, via the cavity input-output process, the quantum cloning can be realized with high fidelity, even if the atom is not localized in the Lamb-Dicke regime.

Realization of Optimal Universal and Phase-Covariant Quantum Machines via Input-Output Cavities

Congrong Wang, Da-Chuang Li, Feng‐Yuan Zhang +1 more

We present a scheme to realize a special quantum cloning machine via input-output cavities. The cloning machine can copy information from one atom to another distant atom. Choosing different parameters, the method can perform optimal symmetric (asymmetric) universal quantum cloning and optimal symmetric (asymmetric) phase-covariant cloning. Compared to previous schemes, our scheme is more insensitive to actual environmental noise and can get higher fidelity in a current cavity quantum electrodynamics system with an entangled state acting as a quantum channel than a single-photon pulse.

Realization of the Unified Quantum Cloning Machine Based on cavity QED

Xue Li, Ren Yi-Ming, Nian-Quan Jiang

Based on cavity QED, we first propose the unified scheme to implement the 1→2 optimal universal quantum cloning machine for arbitrary input state, the asymmetric 1→2 phase-covariant cloning and the 1→3 optimal asymmetric economical phase-covariant quantum cloning machine for the equatorial input state. During the cloning process, due to atoms interacting with a highly detuned cavity mode, thus the scheme is insensitive to the cavity decay and thermal field.

Tunable optimal quantum cloning machines with trapped atoms

Wei Xiong, Ye Liu

We propose a scheme to realize tunable optimal quantum cloning machines with trapped atoms. Through selecting a pairing of Raman transitions and choosing suitable parameters of the external fields, we can not only realize an optimal symmetric (asymmetric) universal quantum cloning machine and phase-covariant cloning machine, but also an optimal symmetric economical phase-covariant cloning machine. Additionally, the atomic excited states and photonic states can be adiabatically eliminated. In our scheme, the quantum cloning machine can copy the information from one trapped atom to arbitrary two distant trapped atoms, which is significant to quantum communication and quantum computation.
