Electric-field-induced bound states and resonances in heteronuclear atomic collisions

Ziang Li, Ziwei Wang, Gao‐Ren Wang +1 more

The variations of the bound states of heteronuclear collision complexes in a static electric field are investigated. Using a prototype model, we engineer the interatomic interaction of the collision complex to have an $l$-wave bound state or quasibound state (virtual state for $s$ wave) close to the threshold. The variation of such a state with electric field is calculated to find out whether it crosses the threshold and produces a zero-energy resonance. We identify the cases in which an electric-field-induced resonance can occur at low field. The prototype model is used to interpret the calculated results with realistic potentials for heteronuclear alkali-metal collision complexes. We also calculate the probability density of the low-energy scattering state and find that the short-range probability density can still be enhanced in the absence of electric-field-induced resonance.

Causes and hidden essence of fluctuations in numbers produced by the True random number generator (TRNG) in the light of the Acta Universi hypothesis / Причины и скрытая суть флуктуаций чисел, выдаваемых генератором истинно случайных чисел (TRNG) в свете гипотезы Acta Universi

Dmitry Yashchenko

Abstract The article examines the causes and hidden nature of number fluctuations generated by a true random number generator (TRNG) in the context of the Acta Universi hypothesis. The main focus is on interpreting quantum randomness as a manifestation of the dynamics of a non-local information field. The research objective is to analyze the mechanisms of random sequence formation from the perspective of AU-ontology, where each quantum measurement is considered as an act of irreversible recording in the information field. The research methods include statistical modeling of random sequences, analysis of entropy processes, and studying the influence of non-local correlations on the formation of random numbers. The research results show that fluctuations in TRNG are a consequence of the complex dynamics of the entropy field with a non-local kernel, generating a stochastic process with memory. It has been established that randomness in the AU interpretation is not the absence of determinism, but rather a manifestation of the global coherence of the information field. The practical significance of the work lies in the new understanding of the nature of randomness and the possibility of applying the obtained results to improve random number generators. Probing the classical complexity of quantum dynamics experiments

Thomas Schuster, Andreas Elben

A confluence of recent works has shown that many quantum circuits and dynamics are efficiently simulable by classical algorithms that track local information, even when conventional complexity measures such as the entanglement and magic are high. Here, we introduce a novel measure of complexity, the reactivity, to capture this new method of classical attack. Unlike conventional complexity measures, the reactivity does not capture a property of a quantum state or operator in isolation, but rather a quantum experiment as a whole. We provide numerical and rigorous evidence that quantum experiments with low reactivity are simple by a host of measures: they are efficient to classically simulate, learn, and fast-forward. This motivates the search for quantum experiments with high reactivity, which may evade these simplistic features. To this end, we introduce easily implementable experimental protocols---dubbed Pauli path spectroscopy---that allow one to efficiently measure the reactivity of any quantum experiment of interest. Our protocols are applicable even when the experiment itself is beyond the reach of classical simulation.
