Abstract

A kind of entangle coherent states is constructed. According to dual mode field’s sum and difference operators defined by Mark Hillery, its squeezing properties are investigated by means of numerical calculation. Results show that the states appear sum and difference squeezing effect under the given conditions.

Properties of the Measurement Phase Operator in Dual-Mode Entangle Coherent States

Shenyong Hou, Kuo Yang

A class of measurement phase operators of dual-mode is defined and their properties in a class of entangle coherent states are investigated. Numerical results indicate that the entangle coherent states display some non-classical squeezed effects.

Sum and difference squeezing of the electromagnetic field

Mark S. Hillery

Sum and difference squeezing are both higher-order, two-mode squeezing effects. Sum squeezing is turned into normal squeezing by sum-frequency generation. The operators that are used to define it form a representation of the su(1,1) Lie algebra. Difference squeezing can generate normal squeezing through difference-frequency generation. The operators that characterize it form a representation of the su(2) Lie algebra. Both are nonclassical effects. For uncorrelated modes the presence of squeezing in at least one of the modes is a necessary condition for the existence of either sum or difference squeezing. If the modes are correlated this is no longer true. Both sum and difference squeezing can be generated by combining a squeezed mode with one in a coherent state. Sum squeezing is also produced by a parametric amplifier. In order to better illustrate some of these effects a pictorial representation of sum squeezing is presented.

Squeezing Properties of Entangled Coherent States

Kuang Zhen-Hua

Quantum entanglement and squeezing are kinds of important nonclassical phenomena of quantum systems. In this paper entangling and squeezing properties of entangled coherent states are studied analytically and numerically. The realtions between two nonclassical effects of squeezing and entanglement are investigated in detail. It is found that the degree of squeezing can be increased or decreased through changing the degree of entanglement. And it is shown that squeezing properties of single-mode squeezing is very different from that of two-mode squeezing.

The Equal-order Even-number-order Sum-squeezing in a kind of Multi-mode Quantum Superposition State with Superposition of Non-symmetry Two Multi-mode Quantum States

Qu Bo

Based on the superposition theory in the quantum mechanics, a kind of non-symmetry multi-mode Quantum superposition stateψq is constituted by the complex conjugate multi-mode coherent state{-zj(a)*}q and the imaginary conjugate coherent state{izj(a)*}q. By using the multimode squeezed states theory, the properties of equal-power even-order sum-squeezing ofψq is studied under the product of cavity order sum and squeezing order N, qN is even number, scilicet qN=2p(p=1,2,3,······). It is found that the two quardrature phase components of the ψq always present ultimately equal-power even-order sum-squeezing effect which changes periodically whether p is odd number or even number, while some phase conditions are satisfied respectively by sum of initial phase of each single modejj, and the initial mixing-phase Δθ+[(Rj(a)Rj(b)] which is composed of initial phase difference Δθ between the two components of the ψq mentioned above and the sum of Rj(a)Rj(b) products of amplitude of each mode in {zj(a)*}q and amplitude Rj(b) of each mode in. The squeezing-intensity under p is odd number is bigger. There is not this result in symmetry multi-mode superposition states.
