Dynamics of quantum correlations in two 2-level atoms coupled to thermal reservoirs

Zakaria Dahbi, Mostafa Mansour, Abderrahim El Allati

Abstract In this paper, we examine the dynamics of quantum correlations in two noninteractive two-level atoms coupled to two separate identical thermal reservoirs. The two atoms are initially produced in a Gisin state, which is a blend of a maximally entangled two-qubit state and a separable mixed state. Quantum entanglement is measured by logarithmic negativity, while the nonclassical correlations are characterized by trace distance discord and local quantum uncertainty. Using the mean photon number of reservoirs and spontaneous emission rates of atoms as inputs, we explore how these quantum resources behave. Consequently, we demonstrate that the dynamics of quantum entanglement and quantum correlations depend upon the parameters driving the system. Significantly, we further demonstrate that specific parameters may be tweaked to preserve the quantum resources in the system. The results give a full grasp of the quantum features of such a two-level atomic system, showing capabilities to construct quantum technology.

Dynamics of quantum correlation for circularly accelerated atoms immersed in a massless scalar field near a boundary

Zhiming Huang, Yiyong Ye, Xiaobin Wang +3 more

In this paper, we explore the dynamics of quantum correlation for two circularly accelerated atoms interacting with a bath of fluctuating massless scalar field with a reflecting plane boundary. First, we derive the master equation that governs the system evolution. Then we analyze the behaviors of quantum correlation for various conditions and compare the behaviors of quantum correlation with that of the static atoms immersed in a thermal bath with a boundary. It is found that the dynamics of quantum correlation for circularly accelerated atoms present some features distinct from those of static atoms immersed in a thermal bath.

Classical and quantum correlations between two qubits interacting with a field in thermal spin states

Mariam Algarni, S. Abdel‐Khalek, K. Berrada

Abstract In this manuscript, we introduce a quantum physical model consisting of two-atom system that interact with a quantized field initially prepared in the thermal spin states (TSSs). We study the effect of the main parameters of the model on the dynamical behavior atom–atom coherence, atoms-field entanglement, atom–atom entanglement and classical correlation. We show how the quantumness measures can be influenced by the spin number and thermal noise in the absence and presence of time-dependent coupling effect. We obtain that, despite the destructive influence of thermal noise, a considerable amount of coherence, entanglement and classical correlation still remain during the time evolution according the values of spin number. The results also show that the TSSs can offer the advantage of generating the maximal amount of coherence, entanglement and classical correlation during the dynamics.
