Abstract

In this paper, we explore the dynamics of quantum correlation for two circularly accelerated atoms interacting with a bath of fluctuating massless scalar field with a reflecting plane boundary. First, we derive the master equation that governs the system evolution. Then we analyze the behaviors of quantum correlation for various conditions and compare the behaviors of quantum correlation with that of the static atoms immersed in a thermal bath with a boundary. It is found that the dynamics of quantum correlation for circularly accelerated atoms present some features distinct from those of static atoms immersed in a thermal bath.

Quantum coherence of a circularly accelerated atom in a spacetime with a reflecting boundary

Wanhe Zhang, Xiaobao Liu, Tingli Yang +1 more

We investigate, in the paradigm of open quantum systems, the dynamics of quantum coherence of a circularly accelerated atom coupled to a bath of vacuum fluctuating massless scalar field in a spacetime with a reflecting boundary. The master equation that governs the system evolution is derived. Our results show that in the case without a boundary, the vacuum fluctuations and centripetal acceleration will always cause the quantum coherence to decrease. However, with the presence of a boundary, the quantum fluctuations of the scalar field are modified, which makes that quantum coherence could be enhanced as compared to that in the case without a boundary. Particularly, when the atom is very close to the boundary, although the atom still interacts with the environment, it behaves as if it were a closed system and quantum coherence can be shielded from the effect of the vacuum fluctuating scalar field.

Entanglement dynamics for uniformly accelerated two-level atoms

Jiawei Hu, Hongwei Yu

We study, in the paradigm of open quantum systems, the entanglement dynamics of two uniformly accelerated atoms with the same acceleration perpendicular to the separation. The two-atom system is treated as an open system coupled with a bath of fluctuating massless scalar fields in the Minkowski vacuum, and the master equation that governs its evolution is derived. It has been found that, for accelerated atoms with a nonvanishing separation, entanglement sudden death is a general feature when the initial state is entangled, while for those in a separable initial state, entanglement sudden birth only happens for atoms with an appropriate interatomic separation and sufficiently small acceleration. Remarkably, accelerated atoms can get entangled in certain circumstances while the inertial ones in the Minkowski vacuum cannot. A comparison between the results of accelerated atoms and those of static ones in a thermal bath shows that uniformly accelerated atoms exhibit features distinct from those immersed in a thermal bath at the Unruh temperature in terms of entanglement dynamics.

Unruh effect and entanglement generation for accelerated atoms near a reflecting boundary

Jialin Zhang, Hongwei Yu

We study, in the framework of open systems, the entanglement generation of two independent uniformly accelerated atoms in interaction with the vacuum fluctuations of massless scalar fields subjected to a reflecting plane boundary. We demonstrate that, with the presence of the boundary, the accelerated atoms exhibit distinct features from static ones in a thermal bath at the corresponding Unruh temperature in terms of the entanglement creation at the neighborhood of the initial time. In this sense, accelerated atoms in vacuum do not necessarily have to behave as if they were static in a thermal bath at the Unruh temperature.

Quantum Fisher information in massless scalar field with a boundary

Zhiming Huang

We explore the changes of Quantum Fisher information (QFI) for an uniformly accelerating atom coupling to fluctuating massless scalar field with a perfectly reflecting boundary. We first deduce the master equation that the system obeys. For the unbounded case, the vacuum fluctuation and Unruh thermal bath can rapidly degrade the QFI. However, with a boundary, the degradation, preservation, fluctuation and enhancement of QFI are dependent on the evolution time, boundary and acceleration. In addition, the existing boundary can effectively shield QFI from the influence of the vacuum fluctuation and Unruh thermal effect. Especially, the QFI seems to be unaffected by the vacuum fluctuation and acceleration when the atom is very close to the boundary. The efficient control of the boundary and acceleration can provide the feasible scheme of improving the parameter estimation precision.

Entanglement dynamics for circularly accelerated two-level atoms coupled with electromagnetic vacuum fluctuations

Jiao-Zhen She, Jiawei Hu, Hongwei Yu

We investigate, in the framework of open quantum systems, the entanglement dynamics of two circularly accelerated two-level atoms with the same centripetal acceleration interacting with a bath of fluctuating electromagnetic fields in the Minkowski vacuum. We assume that the two atoms rotate synchronically with their separation perpendicular to the rotating plane and study the entanglement degradation, creation, revival, and enhancement by solving the Markovian master equation. In contrast to the scalar-field case, the entanglement dynamics is crucially dependent on the atomic polarizations in the sense that the polarization directions may affect the entanglement decay rate and may determine the occurrences of entanglement creation, revival, and enhancement. Compared with the uniformly accelerated case and the thermal case, the decay rate of entanglement for circularly accelerated atoms is larger, while the revival and enhancement rates are smaller.

Entanglement dynamics of accelerated atoms with environment-induced interactions

Xuerui Zhou, Chenhao Ma, Zixu Zhao

We investigate the influence of environment-induced interactions on the entanglement dynamics of two uniformly accelerated atoms coupled to a fluctuating massless scalar field with a reflecting boundary. The two atoms are aligned vertically to the boundary. The entanglement behaviors are influenced by the competition between the environment-induced interatomic and the environment-induced atom-plate interactions, which can be characterized by certain critical values. The maximum of concurrence generated during evolution decreases non-monotonically with the acceleration, which implies the anti-Unruh phenomenon can exist for some situations even when both environment-induced interatomic and the environment-induced atom-plate interactions are considered.
