Generation and concentration of atomic entangled state via adiabatic evolution

Abstract

Based on the idea of adiabatic evolution, we propose two probabilistic but simple schemes for generating maximally entangled states for two distant atoms and concentrating unknown atomic entangled states. Taking advantage of adiabatic passage, the atoms have no probability of being excited and thus the atomic spontaneous emission is suppressed. Furthermore, in the two schemes accurate adjustment of the interaction time is not required.

Entangled W State Generation via Adiabatic Passage in Cavity QED

Ma Song-She

A scheme is proposed to generate W state of N atoms trapped in a cavity, based on adiabatic passage along dark state. Taking advantage of adiabatic passage, the atoms have no probability of being excited and thus the atomic spontaneous emission is suppressed. The scheme is simple. It does not need to adjust the interaction time accurately, and does not need to prepare the cavity field in one-photon state. Numerical simulation shows that the successful probability of the scheme increases with the increasing of the atom number.

Entangled state generation via adiabatic passage in two distant cavities

Jie Song, Yan Xia, He‐Shan Song

A scheme is proposed for the generation of a two-atom entangled state and an N -atom W state in two distant cavities via adiabatic passage. In the scheme, since only laser fields applied to an atom need be changed, the property can effectively reduce the number of operations for implementing the scheme in experiment. And there are no excited states involved during the operation process, so the atom's spontaneous emission can be omitted approximately. Furthermore, the scheme is robust against the amplitude fluctuations of some experimental parameters.

Multi-atom entanglement engineering and phase-covariant cloning via adiabatic passage

Shi‐Biao Zheng

A scheme is proposed for the generation of entangled states for multiple atoms trapped in an optical cavity via adiabatic passage. In the scheme, both the atomic system and the cavity have no probability of being excited. Thus both the atomic spontaneous emission and the cavity decay are suppressed, which makes our scheme very robust against decoherence. Taking advantage of the adiabatic process, the scheme does not require accurate adjustment of the interaction time. Furthermore, the scheme is scalable in principle. The idea can also be used for realizing phase-covariant cloning.

A scheme for quantum entanglement of distant particles via adiabatic passage is proposed. When a Λ-type atom interacts with laser and cavity fields adiabatically, the state of the system evolves in a dark state. As the entanglement of distant atoms or cavities is implemented adiabatically, the proposal is robust to atomic spontaneous emission noise. The biggest success probability is 0.5.

Robust Generation of Four-Mode Entangled States through Adiabatic Passages

Huai‐Zhi Wu, Zhen‐Biao Yang, Zheng Shi-Biao

We propose a robust scheme to generate four-mode entangled states by using the method of adiabatic passage. Our scheme is more insensitive to certain practical sources of noise, such as randomness in the atom's position, atomic spontaneous emission. In addition, the Rabi frequencies of the classical field and interaction time need not to be accurately adjusted as long as the adiabatic condition is fulfilled. The fidelity for the prepared state is higher than 0.97 under current experimental parameters.
