Generalized classification of modern quantum cryptography and communication methods

Тетяна Олександрівна Жмурко, Василь Миколайович Кінзерявий, Khalicha Ibragimovna Yubuzova +1 more

Modern powerful computing technology development threatens the confidentiality of information that usually provided by traditional cryptographic means and forces researchers to look for alternative security methods. Given the current trends, these alternatives may be quantum cryptography and communication methods. These methods unlike traditional (classical) analogues use specific unique properties of quantum particles and are based on the inviolability of the quantum physics laws. Existing classifications in quantum cryptography and communications do not include the large number of modern methods. It complicates its study and use in the quantum information security systems development. In the paper modern methods of quantum cryptography and communication were analyzed, their advantages and disadvantages, security assessment to various kinds of cyberattacks were defined, and also the existing classifications of these methods were studied. On the basis of partial generalizations of theoretical positions and practical advances in quantum cryptography, the generalized classification of quantum cryptography and communication methods was constructed. This classification reveals a problem in this area and can extend the possibilities for choosing the appropriate methods for modern quantum information security systems development.

The construction of quantum network model based on formalized theory

Siyu Xiong, Ming-Qiang Bai, Zhiwen Mo

Abstract With the rapid development of quantum communication, various types of quantum communication protocols emerge one after another, and their number has been very large. Usually a quantum communication protocol is expressed in long words. Formalized processing of quantum communication protocol can simplify its expression mode, which is conducive to fast reading and selection of required protocols according to actual application requirements. In this paper, quantum communication protocols that use entangled particles as quantum channels to transmit known or unknown quantum states are classified based on classification of set, and the classified protocols are described in formalized language. A new quantum communication network model is constructed by using the formalized quantum communication protocol.

Construction and classification of point-group symmetry-protected topological phases in two-dimensional interacting fermionic systems

Jian-Hao Zhang, Qing-Rui Wang, Shuo Yang +2 more

The construction and classification of symmetry-protected topological (SPT) phases in interacting bosonic and fermionic systems have been intensively studied in the past few years. Very recently, a complete classification and construction of space-group SPT phases were also proposed for interacting bosonic systems. In this Rapid Communication, we attempt to generalize this classification and construction scheme systematically into interacting fermion systems. In particular, we construct and classify point-group SPT phases for two-dimensional (2D) interacting fermion systems via lower-dimensional block-state decorations. We discover several intriguing fermionic SPT states that can only be realized in interacting fermion systems (i.e., not in free-fermion or bosonic SPT systems). Moreover, we also verify the recently conjectured crystalline equivalence principle for 2D interacting fermion systems. Finally, the potential experimental realization of these different classes of point-group SPT phases in 2D correlated superconductors is addressed.
