Entanglement transfer from superposed two-mode coherent states to two initially separable qubits

Abstract

Entanglement transfer from the superposition states of the pair coherent states or the SU(1,1) coherent states to two initially separable qubits is investigated. The entropy of the superposition states has a novel property: there exists a maximum value when the phase difference between the two 2-mode coherent states is π. In the process of entanglement transfer from these superposition states to qubits, it is found that the qubits have the largest possible entanglement at the maximum of the entropy of the initial field, which shows a relationship between the entanglement of the initial field and that of the qubits. The concurrence of the qubits can periodically approach unity when the parameters of the initial field are properly chosen and the two qubits are initially at the ground states.

Tsallis Entropies of Superposition States οf Two Photon-Subtracted SU(1,1) Coherent States and Entanglement Transfer to Qubits

Mai-Lin Liang, Bing Yuan, Jianan Zhang

Entropy properties of the superposed photon-subtracted two-mode coherent states are quite different from that of the single state.Tsallis entropies of the superposed states have extreme values, while that of the single state change monotonously.Further, it is found that the positions of the maxima of the entropies are independent of the entropic index.Around the maxima of the entropies, the entanglement transfer from the superposed states to two initially separable qubits is nearly complete.

Entanglement transfer from entangled nonlinear coherent states to separable qubits

Azam Anbaraki, Davood Afshar, Mojtaba Jafarpour

We study entanglement transfer from even and odd two-mode nonlinear coherent states to two separable qubits. The separable qubits are assumed to be in the following three states: both of the qubits are in the ground state, one qubit is in the ground state and the other is in a mixed state, and both of them are in a mixed state. The interaction between the field states and the system of qubits is considered under the Jaynes–Cummings model. We use negativity to evaluate the entanglement transfer to the system of qubits after interaction with the field states. The conditions for the production of the maximum amount of entanglement between qubits will be discussed. We observe that the maximum value of entanglement transfer is related to the interaction of odd nonlinear coherent states with the qubits when both of the latter are in the ground state.

Entanglement transfer from entangled two-mode fields to a pair of separable and mixed qubits

Jian Zou, Jun Gang Li, Bin Shao +2 more

We consider the entanglement of two remote qubits induced by local interaction with the two-mode nonclassical state fields. We investigate the transfer of entanglement from different two-mode nonclassical state fields to a pair of separable and mixed qubits. We find that no matter what state the qubit subsystem is initially prepared in, at the specific time $gt\ensuremath{\simeq}11.07$ the entanglement of the Bell state fields can be almost completely transferred to the qubit subsystem, i.e., the Bell state fields can drive an initially separable and very mixed state of qubits into an almost pure highly entangled state suitable for quantum information processing. For the entangled coherent state fields $\ensuremath{\mid}u⟩={N}_{1}(\ensuremath{\mid}\ensuremath{\alpha},\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\alpha}⟩+\ensuremath{\mid}\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\alpha},\ensuremath{\alpha}⟩)$ and $\ensuremath{\mid}{u}^{\ensuremath{'}}⟩={N}_{2}(\ensuremath{\mid}\ensuremath{\alpha},\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\alpha}⟩\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\mid}\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\alpha},\ensuremath{\alpha}⟩)$ we find that when $\ensuremath{\mid}\ensuremath{\alpha}\ensuremath{\mid}$ is small, the dynamic behaviors of the entanglement between two qubits are quite different. For $\ensuremath{\mid}u⟩$ there is almost no entanglement between two qubits while for $\ensuremath{\mid}{u}^{\ensuremath{'}}⟩$ the dynamic behavior of the entanglement between two qubits is very similar to that of the Bell state field. For large $\ensuremath{\mid}\ensuremath{\alpha}\ensuremath{\mid}$ we find that the dynamic behaviors of entanglement between two qubits are almost the same for these two fields, and when $gt\ensuremath{\sim}\ensuremath{\mid}\ensuremath{\alpha}\ensuremath{\mid}\ensuremath{\pi}$ the entanglement between two qubits reaches its maximum and is almost independent of initial mixedness of the qubit subsystem. For the two-mode squeezed vacuum state field we find that when $r\ensuremath{\sim}0.86$ and $gt\ensuremath{\simeq}11.07$ the entanglement transfer reaches its maximum which also almost does not depend on the initial mixedness of the qubit subsystem.

Entanglement transfer between bipartite systems

Smail B. Bougouffa, Z. Ficek

The problem of a controlled transfer of an entanglement initially encoded into two two-level atoms that are successively sent through two single-mode cavities is investigated. The atoms and the cavity modes form a four-qubit system and we demonstrate the conditions under which the initial entanglement encoded into the atoms can be completely transferred to other pairs of qubits. We find that in the case of non-zero detuning between the atomic transition frequencies and the cavity mode frequencies, no complete transfer of the initial entanglement is possible to any of the other pairs of qubits. In the case of exact resonance and equal coupling strengths of the atoms to the cavity modes, an initial maximally entangled state of the atoms can be completely transferred to the cavity modes. Complete transfer of the entanglement is restricted to the cavity modes, with transfer to the other pairs being limited to 50%. We find that complete transfer of an initial entanglement to other pairs of qubits may take place if the initial state is not the maximally entangled state and the atoms couple to the cavity modes with unequal strengths. Depending on the ratio between the coupling strengths, optimal entanglement can be created between the atoms and one of the cavity modes.

Study of Concurrence and D-Concurrence on Two-Qubits Resulted in Pair Coherent States in Language of SU(2) Coherent States

S. Salimi, A. Mohammadzade

Pair coherent state, is a state of a two-mode radiation field that is known as a state with non-gaussian wave function. In this paper, study on the pair coherent state, we notice that with superposition of two first terms of this states, one two-qubits formed. Because of the importance of two-qubits in theory of quantum entanglement, with two different measures with the title of concurrence and D-concurrence, we have studied the amount of entanglement and discussed its details. At the end, we describe these measures for pair coherent states as a function of the amplitude of the SU(2) coherent states.

Faithful entanglement transference from qubits to continuous variable systems

P Blanco, Douglas F. Mundarain

In this work, we study the transference of entanglement between atomic qubits and the fields of two separate optical cavities. We show that it is possible to transfer all the entanglement of two maximal entangled qubits to the fields of the cavities without post-selection. Initially, the qubit system is in a maximal entangled state and the cavities are in a pure separable state with each cavity in a coherent state. For high excitation levels in the coherent fields, at some characteristic time T, the state of the qubit system becomes separable and at this time all the entanglement is deposited on the mono-modal fields of the cavities. We also consider retrieval of entanglement and an alternative protocol using post-selection.
