Abstract

We present a new kind of interaction between two two-level atoms and optical field initially in deformed bosonic coherent states. Using the concurrence and negativity as measures of entanglement, we investigate the nonlocal correlation between atom–atom and atom–field in terms of the parameters involved in the whole system. We report some important results related to this new kind of interaction such as sudden death, sudden birth, and entanglement stabilization.

Influence of classical field on entanglement and photon statistics of n-level atom interacting with a two two-level atom

Hammad Alotaibi, Eied Mahmoud Khalil, S. Abdel‐Khalek +1 more

In this study, we consider three interacting atoms, one of them represented by N-level atom based on SU(2) Lie algebra and the other represented by a two two-level atom in presence of the external field. The effect of the external field on the dynamics of the proposed system is discussed in detail for certain values for the external field. The dynamical expression of the observable operators is obtained by using the Heisenberg equation of motion. The general solution via solving Schrodinger equation is obtained. The fidelity and concurrence formula as a measure of entanglement between two two-level atom are calculated and discussed in detail. We explore the sudden death and sudden birth phenomena with and without the presence of external field. Finally, we compare the results of the fidelity, concurrence and second-order correlation function for some values of the initial state and the external field parameters.

Entanglement and atomic inversion for two two-level atoms interacting with an intensity-dependent quantized field

Abdallah A. Nahla, D. A. M. Abo-Kahla, Merfat H. Raddadi

Our aim is to present an analytical solution for the quantum optics model that has two two-level atoms interacting together and interacting with an intensity-dependent quantized field. The quantized field is initially in binomial state and based on the Lamb–Dicke parameter and associated Laguerre polynomials. While two atoms are symmetric and initially in superposition state. Besides, the quantum entanglement between the quantum system components under the effect of the parameters of detuning, coupling, binomial, Lamb–Dicke and the initial state of the model is discussed. Several phenomena have been clearly observed and analyzed, such as entanglement sudden death (ESD) followed by entanglement sudden birth (ESB) in the concurrence and the negativity curves, and long-lived quantum coherence in the von Neumann entropy curve. In addition, the presence of revivals and collapses in the atomic population inversion curves has been figured out. Our analysis aims to help the scientists to determine the critical values required of quantum system parameters to control entanglement dynamics.

Sudden Death and Sudden Birth of Entanglement Between Two Atoms Successively Passing Fock State Field

Gao De-ying

The dynamics of entanglement of two initially separate atoms passing through a cavity one after another is studied by the negativity method. The effects of the two atom initial states and the field in the fock state on the time evolution of atom-atom entanglement are examined. The phenomenon of sudden birth and death of entanglement occurs when the photon number in the fock state is not zero and the phenomenon will change with the two atom initial states and the photon number.

Quantum correlations beyond entanglement between two moving atoms interacting with a coherent cavity

F. M. Aldosari, Ahmad Almutlg, A.‐B. A. Mohamed

Studying the ability of atom-photon interactions, especially in two two-level atomic systems, to generate quantum information resources has recently become an important research topic in quantum information science. Therefore, this paper explores the ability of two moving atoms coupling with a coherent field through a two-photon transition to generate atomic quantum correlations by using local quantum uncertainty (LQU), local quantum Fisher information (LQFI) as well as logarithmic negativity (LN). Schrödinger equation is used to obtain the time evolution of the atom-cavity-atom interactions with an initial coherent cavity state and an initial atomic uncorrelated pure state. The generation of atomic LQU, LQFI, and LN correlations are exactly examined under the unitary interaction parameter effects, including the atom-cavity coupling strengths, the cavity field half-wave number, and the initial coherent state intensity. The atom-cavity-atom interaction parameters lead to notable changes in the amplitudes, speed, and regularity of the LQU, LQFI, and LN dynamics, which can be enhanced by increasing the initial coherent intensity. The cavity field half-wave number leads to generating atomic quantum correlations with regular oscillatory behavior. The sudden death-birth phenomenon of the logarithmic negativity depends on the atom-cavity-atom interaction and the atomic location parameter.

Entanglement sudden birth and sudden death in a system of two distant atoms coupled via an optical element

Maryam Ashrafi, M. H. Naderi

An investigation is reported of the collective effects and the dynamics of atom–atom entanglement in a system of two distant two-level atoms which are coupled via an optical element. In the system under consideration, the two atoms, which are trapped in the foci of a lens, are coupled to a common environment being in the vacuum state and they emit photons spontaneously. A fraction of the emitted photons from each atom is thus focused on the position of the other atom. The presence of optical element between two distant atoms leads to the occurrence of delayed collective effects, such as delayed dipole–dipole interaction and delayed collective spontaneous emission, which play the crucial role in the dynamical behaviour of the entanglement. We discuss the phenomena of entanglement sudden birth, entanglement sudden death, and revival of entanglement for both cases of initial one-photon and initial two-photon unentangled atomic states. We show that the evolution of the entanglement is sensitive not only to the interatomic distance but also to the initial state of the system as well as to the properties of the optical element.

Quantum Decoherence and Entanglement Induced by Nonlinear Dissipative Environment

H. A. Hessian

The analytical description of the dynamics of a nonlinear atom-field system described by a diagonal f -deformed Jaynes-Cummings model for a chosen initial state is obtained. The purity loss of the global system, and the atomic and field subsystems are discussed. Information on entanglement between the field and matter is studied by comparing the results for mutual entropy, which is a measure of the total correlation, and the negativity as a measure of the amount of entanglement. It is found that the nonlinearity of the dissipation tends to accelerate the decoherence of the global, field, and atomic states. In addition, we find that the so-called entanglement sudden death can occur when both of the nonlinearity couplings between the cavity field and the dissipation are combined. Subject Index: 061
