Aspects of Nonlinear and Noncanonical Transformations in Quantum Mechanics

Vladimir I. Man’ko, Giuseppe Marmo

Using the invertible map of Wigner functions onto positive-probability-distribution functions we consider an action of the Heisenberg–Weyl group on the space of distributions associated with an irreducible representation. We discuss also the connection between linear and nonlinear coherent states starting with noncanonical nonlinear maps within classical dynamics.

Quantum mechanics of dissipative systems and noncanonical formalism

Claude D. George, Ilya Prigogine

We present a noncanonical transformation theory of large dynamical systems that leads to a formulation of dynamics in terms of processes, in which the concepts of well-defined “units” and “interactions” can be simultaneously accommodated.
