Abstract

The problem of calculating correlation functions is considered for the one-dimensional Bose gas with a delta-function repulsive interaction between particles. The method of calculation is based on the algebraic Bethe ansatz.

One-particle dynamical correlations in the one-dimensional Bose gas

Jean-Sébastien Caux, Pasquale Calabrese, Nikita A

Abstract. The momentum- and frequency-dependent one-body correlation function of the one-dimensional interacting Bose gas (Lieb-Liniger model) in the repulsive regime is studied using the Algebraic Bethe Ansatz and numerics. We first provide a determinant representation for the field form factor which is welladapted to numerical evaluation. The correlation function is then reconstructed to high accuracy for systems with finite but large numbers of particles, for a wide range of values of the interaction parameter. Our results are extensively discussed, in particular their specialization to the static case. One-particle dynamical correlations in the one-dimensional Bose gas 2 1.

The dynamics of the one-dimensional delta-function Bose gas

Craig A. Tracy, Harold Widom

We give a method to solve the time-dependent Schrödinger equation for a system of one-dimensional bosons interacting via a repulsive delta function potential. The method uses the ideas of Bethe Ansatz but does not use the spectral theory of the associated Hamiltonian.

Algebraic Bethe ansatz approach to the correlation functions of the one-dimensional bosons with attraction

N. A. Slavnov

Abstract We consider a model of a one-dimensional Bose gas with attraction. We study ground state equal-time correlation functions in this model using the algebraic Bethe ansatz. In cases of strong interaction or/and large-volume systems, we obtain very simple explicit formulas for correlations.

The momentum- and frequency-dependent one-body correlation function of the one-dimensional interacting Bose gas (Lieb–Liniger model) in the repulsive regime is studied using the Algebraic Bethe Ansatz and numerics. We first provide a determinant representation for the field form factor which is well adapted to numerical evaluation. The correlation function is then reconstructed to high accuracy for systems with finite but large numbers of particles, for a wide range of values of the interaction parameter. Statistical Mechanics of a One-Dimensional δ-function Bose Gas

Miki Wadati, Go Kato

Statistical mechanics of a one-dimensional system of bosons with repulsive delta-function interaction is studied. Explicit calculations of the partition function and the cluster integrals are carried out. The results coincide with those by the thermal Bethe ansatz (TBA) method. Thermodynamic quantities such as the pressure, the chemical potential and the energy are given both for large and small coupling limits.

On the one-dimensional bose gas

Melissa I. Makin

The main work of this thesis involves the calculation, using the Bethe ansatz, of two of the signature quantities of the one-dimensional delta-function Bose gas. These are the density matrix and concomitantly its Fourier transform the occupation numbers, and the correlation function and concomitantly its Fourier transform the structure factor. The coefficient of the delta-function is called the coupling constant; these quantities are calculated in the finite-coupling regime, both expansions around zero coupling and infinite coupling are considered. Further to this, the density matrix in the infinite coupling limit, and its first order correction, is recast into Toeplitz determinant form. From this the occupation numbers are calculated up to 36 particles for the ground state and up to 26 particles for the first and second excited states. This data is used to fit the coefficients of an ansatz for the occupation numbers. The correlation function in the infinite coupling limit, and its first order correction, is recast into a form which is easy to calculate for any N, and is determined explicitly in the thermodynamic limit.
