Abstract

In this paper, an LQG control problem is solved for a class of linear quantum systems for the case of sampled-data measurements. The methodology adopted involves an equivalence between the quantum problem and an auxiliary classical stochastic problem.

Finite horizon H∞ control for a class of sampled‐data linear quantum systems

Aline I. Maalouf, Ian R. Petersen

Summary In this paper, a finite horizon H∞ control problem is solved for a class of linear quantum systems using a dynamic game approach for the case of sampled‐data measurements. The methodology adopted involves an equivalence between the quantum problem and two auxiliary classical problems. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Guaranteed Cost LQG Control of Uncertain Linear Quantum Stochastic Systems

A. J. Shaiju, Ian R. Petersen, M. R. James

In this paper, we formulate and solve a guaranteed cost control problem for a class of uncertain linear stochastic quantum systems. For these quantum systems, a connection with an associated classical (non-quantum) system is first established. Using this connection, the desired guaranteed cost results are established. The theory presented is illustrated using an example from quantum optics.

LQG/H∞ control of linear quantum stochastic systems

Chuanxin Bian, Guofeng Zhang

The purpose of this paper is to investigate an efficient coherent controller design scheme for the general mixed LQG/H∞control problem of the linear quantum stochastic systems. To solve the specific difficulty of the physical realizability constraints, the problem is reformulated as a rank constraint LMI problem, and numerical solution can be attained by using Matlab and softwares therein.

Finite Horizon $H^\infty$ Control for a Class of Linear Quantum Measurement Delayed Systems: A Dynamic Game Approach

Aline I. Maalouf, Ian R. Petersen

In this paper, a finite horizon $H^\infty$ control problem is solved for a class of linear quantum systems using a dynamic game approach for the case of delayed measurements. The methodology adopted involves an equivalence between the quantum problem and an auxiliary classical stochastic problem. Then, the finite horizon $H^\infty$ control problem for the class of linear quantum systems under consideration is solved for the case of delayed measurements by solving the finite horizon $H^\infty$ control problem for an equivalent stochastic $H^\infty$ control problem following a dynamic game approach.
