Preparation of entangled atomic states through simultaneous nonresonant atom–field interaction

Abstract

A scheme is proposed for generating a three-atom maximal entanglement W state. It is based on the simultaneous nonresonant interaction of atoms with a single-mode cavity field. Our scheme is insensitive to the cavity field, so the cavity field in our scheme can be initially in thermal states.

Preparation of Entangled Atomic States Through Simultaneous Three-atom-cavity-field Interaction

Caiyun Zheng

Following a recent scheme by Zheng and Guo, we propose protocols for the generation of three-atom W class of maximally entangled state and an interesting quantum state, which is also the maximally two-atom entangled state. These are based on the simultaneous interaction of three atoms with a single-mode cavity field. Unlike previous scheme, the cavity field in our scheme is initially in thermal states with n photons. Finally, suggestion for experimental probability is given.

Preparation of Entangled Atomic States Through Resonant Atom-Field Interaction

Chen Mei-Feng

A scheme is proposed for the generation of two-atom maximally entangled states and multi-atom maximally entangled states of W class. The scheme is based on the simultaneous resonant interaction of atoms with a single-mode cavity field. It does not require accurate adjustment of the interaction time. The time needed to complete the generation does not increase with the number of the atom.

Preparation of Multi-Atom Entangled States with a Single Cavity in a Thermal State

Zheng Shi-Biao

A scheme is suggested for the generation of multi-atom maximally entangled states with a cavity in a thermal state. In this scheme several appropriately prepared two-level atoms are simultaneously sent through the nonresonant cavity. We divide the whole atom-cavity interaction time into two equal parts. At the end of the first part a π pulse is applied to the atoms using a classical field. Then the photon-number-dependent shifts on the atomic states are cancelled and the atomic system finally evolves to a maximally entangled state.

Preparation of Entangled States for Many ■-type Three-level Atoms

Hongcai Li

A scheme for preparation of the maximal entangled states for Ξ-type three-level atoms in a thermal cavity is proposed.Because of preparing the maximal entangled states by the simultaneous nonresonant interaction between many uniform multilevel atoms and a single-mode cavity, the thermal effects and the decay of the cavity are all eliminated. It also suggests a scheme for preparation of the maximal entangled states for four-level atoms in a thermal cavity.
