Abstract

Designing quantum protocols with unit success probability is highly desirable from a viewpoint of the overall resource cost. In this work, we propose a new deterministic protocol for joint remote preparation of the most general two-qubit state using the same quantum/classical resource as in [An et al., Phys. Lett. A {\bf 375} (2011) 3570] and, at the same time, retaining the passive role of the receiver as in [Xiao et al., J. Phys. B: At. Mol. Opt. Phys. {\bf 44} (2011) 075501], which employs a different kind of nonlocal resource. From a practical point of view, this protocol proves most suitable in situations when only Einstein- Podelsky-Rosen pairs are supplied and the receiver is not capable of performing any measurements nor controlled-NOT gates.

We propose a novel deterministic protocol that two senders are capable of remotely preparing arbitrary two-and three-qubit states for a remote receiver using EPR pairs and GHZ state as the quantum channel.Compared with the existing deterministic protocols [An et al.2011 Phys.Lett.A 375 3570 and Chen et al.2012 J.Phys.A:Math.Theor.45 055303],the quantum resources and classical information in our scheme are decreased, and the whole operation process is simplified.

Deterministic joint remote preparation of an arbitrary three-qubit state via Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen pairs with a passive receiver

Yan Xia, Qing-Qin Chen, Nguyen Ba An

In this work, a useful protocol for deterministic joint remote preparation of an arbitrary three-qubit state using only Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen pairs is put forward. Our protocol, in clear contrast with a previous one, works for a receiver who, due to limited local equipments, is unable to carry out any measurements and controlled-NOT gates as well as to send classical communication. Therefore, the practical merit of our protocol is that it is applicable to situations in which the receiver has insufficient resource to meet the demand.

Remote state preparation with unit success probability

Nguyen Ba An, Thi Bich Cao, Nung Van Don +1 more

Abstract Remote state preparation is a secure and faithful method for transmitting known quantum states by means of local operation and classical communication. Existing protocols in the general case succeed just with probabilities of less than 100%. In this paper, we design a protocol to remotely prepare the most general single-qubit state that always succeeds. To achieve unit success probability, the preparer is allowed to use additional local resources and implement adaptive measurements. Our protocol is meaningful because the most expensive resource, i.e. the quantum channel previously shared between the preparer and the receiver, remains the same as in the original protocol (Pati 2000 Phys. Rev. A 63 014302), which, however, succeeds only half the time.

Joint remote preparation of a general two-qubit state

Nguyen Ba An

We propose a set of novel protocols to remotely prepare a general two-qubit state by joint actions of two separate people who independently share the classical knowledge of the state, without and with quantum control of a supervisor. Various quantum resources are used as the quantum channel. Although the execution complexity differs for different protocols, the total success probability is protocol independent.

Joint remote preparation of four-qubit cluster-type states revisited

Nguyen Ba An, Cao Thi Bich, Nung Van Don

We revisit the protocols proposed recently ( Zhan et al 2011 J. Phys. B: At. Mol. Opt. Phys. 44 095501 ) for joint remote preparation of four-qubit cluster-type states. We not only point out errors in those protocols but also make considerable improvements. Our protocols, for both the cases of real and complex coefficients of the state to be prepared, consume much less quantum resource as well as classical communication cost.
