Abstract

The integrable quantum many-body systems associated with the classical root systems are formulated in terms of the (trigonometric) Dunkl operators. We define the Dunkl operators by use of the infinite-dimensional representation of the R and K matrices for the Yang-Baxter equation and the reflection equation. The eigenvalues of systems are also given.

Topics in quantum integrable systems

Kazuhiro Hikami, Miki Wadati

Recent developments in the theory of quantum integrable particle systems in one-dimension with inverse square interactions are reviewed. First the Yangian symmetry is introduced and the energy spectra of the related spin models are discussed. The character of the su(n)1 WZNW theory is shown to be closely related with the Rogers–Szegö polynomial. Second, the infinite dimensional representation for solutions of the Yang–Baxter equation and the reflection equation is given. Based on the representation, the Dunkl operators associated with the classical root systems are constructed. The Macdonald polynomial and its generalization are discussed in connection with the eigenstates for the trigonometric case. Finally, some results on short-range interacting systems are mentioned.

Nonlinear Schrödinger Model with Boundary, Integrability and Scattering Matrix Based on the Degenerate Affine Hecke Algebra

Yasushi Komori, Kazuhiro Hikami

The δ-function interacting many-body systems (nonlinear Schrödinger models) on an infinite interval and with boundary are studied by use of the integrable differential-difference operators, so-called Dunkl operators. These models are related with the classical root systems of type A and BC, and we give a systematic method to construct these integrable operators. This method is based on the infinite-dimensional representation for solutions of the classical Yang–Baxter equation and the classical reflection equation. In addition the scattering matrices of the boundary nonlinear Schrödinger model are investigated.

BoundaryK-matrix, elliptic Dunkl operator and quantum many-body systems

Kazuhiro Hikami

The infinite-dimensional representation of the boundary K-operator (the solution of the reflection equation) is considered. The trigonometric K-matrix is studied as a degenerate case of the elliptic operator. A method to construct the elliptic Dunkl operator is proposed, and the relationship with the quantum many-body problem is also discussed.

Integrability, Fusion, and Duality in the Elliptic Ruijsenaars Model

Kazuhiro Hikami, Yasushi Komori

The generalized elliptic Ruijsenaars models, which are regarded as a difference analog of the Calogero–Sutherland–Moser models associated with the classical root systems are studied. The integrability and the duality using the fusion procedure of operator-valued solutions of the Yang–Baxter equation and the reflection equation are shown. In particular a new integrable difference operator of type-D is proposed. The trigonometric models are also considered in terms of the representation of the affine Hecke algebra.

Dunkl–Klein–Gordon equation in higher dimensions

B. Hamil, B. C. Lütfüoğlu, M. Merad

In this study, we replace the standard partial derivatives in the Klein–Gordon equation with Dunkl derivatives and obtain exact analytical solutions for the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of the Dunkl–Klein–Gordon equation in higher dimensions. We apply this formalism to two key quantum mechanical systems: the d-dimensional harmonic oscillator and the Coulomb potential. First, we introduce Dunkl quantum mechanics in d-dimensional hyperspherical coordinates, followed by an analysis of the d-dimensional Dunkl–Klein–Gordon oscillator. Subsequently, we derive the energy spectrum and eigenfunctions, which are expressed using confluent hypergeometric functions. Furthermore, we examine the impact of the Dunkl formalism on both the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions. In the second case, we explore both the bound-state solutions and scattering scenarios of the Dunkl–Klein–Gordon equation with the Coulomb potential. The bound-state solutions are represented in terms of confluent hypergeometric functions, while the scattering states enable us to compute the particle creation density and probability using the Bogoliubov transformation method.
