Enhanced transient squeezing in a kicked Jaynes-Cummings model

J. C. Retamal, C. Saavedra

It is found that in an externally kicked Jaynes-Cummings model the transient squeezing of the field can be sustained for longer times as compared with the usual dynamics.Received 17 June 1993DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevA.50.1867©1994 American Physical Society

Generalized Jaynes-Cummings models with a time-dependent atom-field coupling

Amitabh Joshi, S. V. Lawande

An extension of the standard one-photon as well as the two-photon Jaynes-Cummings (JC) model has been done to include transient effects due to a modulation of the atom-field coupling coefficient. An explicit time dependence is given for the case of a linear sweep of the coupling parameter. We have shown the effects of such a sweep on the dynamical evolution of a two-level atom undergoing a one- or two-photon process in a single nondecaying mode of the field in a coherent state. The statistical aspects of the field, such as intensity-intensity correlation and squeezing, are also investigated and are found to be both qualitatively as well as quantitatively different from the standard JC models.

Enhancement of Squeezing in Two-Photon Jaynes–Cummings Model with Atomic Measurement

Sai-Yun Ye

We investigate the squeezing properties of the cavity field in the degenerate two-photon Jaynes–Cummings model. Compared with the one-photon Jaynes–Cummings model, the squeezing is more pronounced in the case of two-photon Jaynes–Cummings model under certain conditions.
