QUANTIZATION FOR THE MESOSCOPIC RLC CIRCUIT AND ITS THERMAL EFFECT BY VIRTUE OF GHFT

Abstract

The mesoscopic single RLC (resistance-inductance-capacitance) circuit and the RLC circuit including complicated coupling are quantized by employing Dirac's standard canonical quantization method. The thermal effects for the systems are investigated by virtue of GHFT (the generalized Hellmann–Feynman theorem). The results distinctly show the effect of temperature on the quantum fluctuation.

Thermal effect and energy-level transition rule for a mesoscopic LC circuit with inductance–capacitance coupling

Jie Su, Ji‐Suo Wang, Liang Bao-Long +1 more

This paper reports that the mesoscopic inductance and capacitance coupling LC circuit is quantized by means of the canonical quantization method. Using the 'invariant eigen-operator' method, it deduces the energy-level transition rule when the system is disturbed by an external electromagnetic field. At the same time, the quantum fluctuations for the system at finite temperature are examined by virtue of the generalized Hellmann–Feynman theorem.

Quantum fluctuations in mesoscopic resistance- inducatance-capacitance electric circuits at finite temperature

Xian-Ting Liang, Fan Hong-Yi

By using the charge and current in a quantization resistance-inductance-capacitance (RLC) electric circuit, we construct a pair of canonical variables. Using this pair of variables and the thermal field dynamics, we obtain the fluctuations of charge and current in the RLC electric circuit at finite temperatures. It is shown that the fluctuations increase with increasing temperature and decrease with prolonging of time.

Quantization of the generalized mesoscopic RLC parallel circuit and its quantum fluctuations in vacuum state

YI Shi-guang

The quantization of the generalized mesoscopic RLC parallel circuit, the quantum fluctuations of the current and the voltage of each branch in vacuum state were studied. The influences on the quantum fluctuations of the dissipative resistances in the inductance and capacitance branches were discussed. The results show that the quantum fluctuations in each branch are related to the parameters of the elements and decay with time. The quantum fluctuations in the two branches are influenced by the dissipative resistances both in the decaying factor and in the coefficients. They have the same behavior in the decaying factor but having difference in the coefficients. The quantum fluctuations of the voltage are affected by the dissipative resistances in the two branches, but the quantum fluctuations of the current are not affected by them when the values of the two dissipative resistances are same.

PATH INTEGRAL SOLUTIONS OF RLC MESOSCOPIC CIRCUIT WITH SOURCE

Zhan-Yuan Yan, SHI-LIANG XU, Jinying Ma

In this paper, mesoscopic RLC circuit with source is studied with Feynman's path integral method. Resistance and source in the circuits make the quantization process rather complicated. To solve the problem, fluctuation analysis method is proposed to calculate the path integral propagator. Furthermore, the wave function and quantum fluctuation of the system are obtained, and time evolution characters of the system are discussed. The methods used in the paper would be helpful to the application of mesoscopic quantum theory.
