Scheme for Entangling Two Distant Cavity Mirrors

Abstract

A scheme is presented for the generation of entangled states for two cavity mirrors. In the scheme each mirror initially in a vacuum state interacts with a weak coherent field, resulting in a photon-number dependent kick. The detection of a photon leaking from the cavities collapses the two mirrors to an entangled state.

Scheme for Generating a Two-atom Entangled State via Cavity Decay

Lihua Zhang

The author presents a quantum scheme for generation of a two-atomic entangled state via cavity decay. When two single-photon detectors only detect one photon, which leaks out from the two cavities simultaneously, two distant atoms will be created into a pair of maximally entangled state with a certain probability.

Efficient Scheme for Entangling Two Distant Atoms

LU Dao-ming, Zheng Shi-Biao

A scheme is presented for the generation of entangled states for two atoms trapped in two distant cavities. In the scheme each atom is resonantly coupled with the respective cavity mode and driven by a strong classical field. The detection of a photon decaying from the cavities and passing through a beam-splitter collapses the atoms to an entangled state. The required atom-field interaction time is very short and thus the decoherence effect is suppressed. Our scheme is within the reach of presently available cavity QED techniques.

Generation of Entangled Bloch States for Two Atomic Samples Trapped in Separated Cavities

Zheng Shi-Biao

A scheme is presented for the generation of entangled states for two atomic ensembles trapped in two distant cavities. In the scheme, each atomic sample is initially in a Bloch state and the cavity mode is initially in a coherent state with a small amplitude. The dispersive atom-cavity interaction leads to a photon-number dependent phase shift on the atomic system. The detection of a photon leaking from the cavities makes the two atomic samples collapse to an entangled Bloch state.

Preparation of Motion Entangled Coherent States of Two Cavity Mirrors

Shi‐Biao Zheng

A scheme is proposed for the generation of entangled coherent states of two spatially separated cavity mirrors. In the scheme, a two-level atom is sent through two cavities, each having a movable mirror, to produce an entangled photon state for the cavity fields. Then the optomechanical effects further entangle the mirror motions with the cavity fields. A second two-level atom, passing through the cavities, is state-selectively measured, which reduces the mirror motions to an entangled coherent state. We also show how to distinguish such an entangled state from a classical mixture.

Generation of Three-Dimensional Entangled States for Two Atoms Trapped in Different Cavities

Zheng Shi-Biao

We propose a scheme for generating three-dimensional entangled states for two atoms trapped in two separate cavities. The scheme is based on the detection of photons leaking from the cavities after the atom-cavity interaction. The scheme is useful for the test of quantum nonlocality and quantum information processing.

Preparation Scheme for Four—atom Entangled State via Cavity Decay

Zhu Cong-zhou

Preparation scheme for four—atomic entangled state via cavity decay is presented by interaction between A—atoms and cavity modes. When two single—photon detectors only detect two photons, which leaked out from the four cavities simultaneously respectively, four distant atoms will be created into a four—atom GHZ entangled state with a certain probability.
