Abstract

We study the interaction of the single-Cooper pairbox interacting with a cavity field. The solution of the system dynamics is obtained. The entropy as a measure of the entanglement between the qubit and the field is calculated and compared with the field purity. It is shown that the general behavior of the entropy as well as the field purity is affected in the same way under different values of the system parameters.

Mutual entropy of a single Cooper pair-box interacting with multi-photon field

Heba Kadry, Nordin Zakaria, Lee Yen Cheong

We discuss the interaction of a single Cooper pair box interacting with a multi-photon field. The dynamical behavior is investigated using the quantum mutual entropy. The results show that the system parameters (the number of quanta and detuning parameters) play an important role in entanglement. This result might shed the light on the possibility to use the number of quanta as a controller parameter for the present system.

Dynamics of quantum correlations and linear entropy in a multi-qubit-cavity system

Alexandra Olaya-Castro, Neil F. Johnson, Luis Quiroga

We present a theoretical study of the relationship between entanglement and entropy in multi-qubit quantum optical systems. Specifically we investigate quantitative relations between the concurrence and linear entropy for a two-qubit mixed system, implemented as two two-level atoms interacting with a single-mode cavity field. The dynamical evolutions of the entanglement and entropy are controlled via time-dependent cavity–atom couplings. Our theoretical findings lead us to propose an alternative measure of entanglement, which could be used to develop a much needed correlation measure for more general multi-partite quantum systems.

Quantum Entropy of a Cooper-Pair Box in a Single-Mode Cavity Field

张春雨, 邹健, 邵彬

A Cooper-pair box biased by a classical voltage and also irradiated by a squeezed state field is considered in order to find new ways to quantum communication and calculation. The quantum dynamics of the Cooper-pair box and the entanglement which is the core theoretics of quantum communication and calculation is investigated in this system, which is related to the squeezing parameter of the squeezed state. A model of Hamiltonian which represents the interaction between box and quantum field is introduced. Finally, the relationship between the entanglement and the squeezing parameter of the squeezed state is demonstrated.

INFORMATION PROCESSING WITH QUBITS IN A MICROWAVE FIELD

Mohamed R. Abdelhafez, Heba Kadry

Recently, great interest has attracted many proposals to build and construct the quantum computer both theoretically and experimentally. The superconducting Josephson junc tions (Cooper-pair box) circuits is one of the most promising hardware architecture for the realization of a scalable quantum computer processor. The production, controlling and manipulation of the quantum bits are still not completely solved. In this thesis we studied the interaction of the multi-photon field with single Cooper-pair box. First, the theoretical model which describes our system is reported. The analytical expression of the reduced density operator of the cavity field and the Cooper-pair is calculated. The dynamical properties of various parameters on the mean number of the Cooper pairs are studied. It is shown that the system parameters play an important role in the dy namics of the qubits in the system.

Influence of Intrinsic Decoherence on Entanglement of Superconducting Charge Qubit in a Resonant Cavity

Liu Xiao-Nan, Shao Bin, Zou Jian

Taking the intrinsic decoherence effect into account, we investigate the entanglement dynamics of a superconducting charge qubit in a single-mode optical cavity. Concurrence, as the measure of entanglement of the coupled field-junction system, is calculated. In comparison, we also consider the entanglement of the system by using the entanglement parameter based on the ratio between mutual entropy and partial Von-Neumann entropy to investigate how the intrinsic decoherence affects the entanglement of the coupling system. Our results show that the evolution of the entanglement parameter has the behaviour similar to the concurrence and it is thus the well measure of entanglement for the mixed state in such a coupling system.

Controlling the transmitted information of a multi-photon interacting with a single-Cooper pair box

Heba Kadry, Abdel‐Haleem Abdel‐Aty, Nordin Zakaria +1 more

We study a model of a multi-photon interaction of a single Cooper pair box with a cavity field. The exchange of the information using this system is studied. We quantify the fidelity of the transmitted information. The effect of the system parameters (detuning parameter, field photons, state density and mean photon number) in the fidelity of the transmitted information is investigated. We found that the fidelity of the transmitted information can be controlled using the system parameters.
