Abstract

Multiparticle entangled states that are the generalization of the W class states and can be reduced to Dicke states are considered. The master equation describing the collective decay of atoms in a cavity is derived for the Tavis-Cummings model in the dispersive limit. The entangled states of atoms that are retained in the process of collective decay are found. The scheme for recording and storage of these states in a collective thermostat is presented.

Decay and storage of multiparticle entangled states of atoms in collective thermostat

Ashat M. Basharov, В. Н. Горбачев, A. A. Rodichkina

We derive a master equation describing the collective decay of two-level atoms inside a single mode cavity in the dispersive limit. By considering atomic decay in the collective thermostat, we found a decoherence-free subspace of the multiparticle entangled states of the $W$-like class. We present a scheme for writing and storing these states in collective thermostat.

On relaxation of entangled states in a collective thermostat

Ashat M. Basharov, В. Н. Горбачев

A kinetic equation describing collective relaxation process in the dispersion limit is derived for an ensemble of two-level atoms placed in a cavity and interacting with one cavity mode. Multiatom entangled states belonging to the set of Dicke states and insensitive to collective decay are found. A scheme for recording, storing, and reading these states with participation of spatially multimode light is reported.

Relaxation in an entangled thermostat

В. Н. Горбачев, Andrew I. Trubilko

A generalized Lindblad equation is derived that describes the relaxation of two systems of an arbitrary physical nature in an entangled thermostat. The relaxation of an atom and a mode of the electromagnetic field selected by a high- Q cavity is considered as an example. Using the introduced collective operators for an atom and a mode, it is shown that the entangled state of the thermostat can lead to the coherent and squeezed state of the atom and the mode.

On the entanglement of electronic states of impurity atoms in nanoparticles

Askhat M Basharov, В. Н. Горбачев, Nikolay V Znamenskiy

By using the derived master equations, it is shown that the decay of electronic impurities in a nanocrystal can be described as a collective relaxation of particles. A set of entangled states of impurity atoms is found, which have immunity to this relaxation. These states can be used for decoherence-free quantum processing.

Decoherence and entanglement in radiative decay of a diatomic system

Ashat M. Basharov

It is shown that, in the Markov approximation, relaxation of two noninteracting atoms in the field of a common thermostat leads not only to decoherence but also to the opposite process of the entanglement of atomic states, which can take on a stationary value depending on the initial conditions. This region of initial conditions narrows as the mean number of photons in the thermostat increases. The main radiative mechanism destroying an arbitrary initial entanglement of atoms is interaction of each atom with its own thermostat independent of the other. All Markov relaxation models under consideration are based on the Lindblad equations.

Entanglement of atomic states upon collective radiative decay

Ashat M. Basharov

It is shown in the Markovian approximation that the relaxation of two atoms noninteracting with each other in the field of a common thermostat results in the entanglement of atomic states. With time, this entanglement either vanishes or takes a stationary value depending on the initial conditions.
