Abstract

We present an optical scheme to almost completely teleport a bipartite entangled coherent state using a four-partite cluster-type entangled coherent state as quantum channel. The scheme is based on optical elements such as beam splitters, phase shifters, and photon detectors. We also obtain the average fidelity of the teleportation process. It is shown that the average fidelity is quite close to unity if the mean photon number of the coherent state is not too small.

CONTINUOUS-VARIABLE QUANTUM TELEPORTATION OF MULTIPARTITE ENTANGLED COHERENT STATES

We investigate the problem of teleportation of tripartite entangled coherent state (ECS) using linear optical devices such as beam splitters, phase shifters, and two-mode number measurements. The scheme is based on the maximally four-partite ECS with bipartite maximal entanglement as the quantum channel to teleportation tripartite ECS. Our scheme is efficient in the sense that for mean number of photons equal to 2, the minimum of average fidelity (MAF) for teleportation an arbitrary tripartite entangled state is 1-2.3 × 10-7. We also generalize the tripartite scheme into multipartite case and calculate the MAF for the schemes in multipartite cases.

This paper proposes a feasible scheme for the quantum teleportation of tripartite entangled coherent states by using linear optical devices such as beam splitters, phase shifters and photo detectors. The scheme is based on the bipartite maximally entangled coherent state and the tripartite entangled coherent state with bipartite maximal entanglement as quantum channels. It shows that when the mean number of photons is equal to 2, the total minimum of the average fidelity for an arbitrary tripartite entangled state is 1 – 0.67 × 10 −3 .

Quantum teleportation of entangled coherent states

Xiaoguang Wang

We propose a simple scheme for the quantum teleportation of both bipartite and multipartite entangled coherent states with the success probability 1/2. The scheme is based only on linear optical devices such as beam splitters and phase shifters, and two-mode photon number measurements. The quantum channels described by the multipartite maximally entangled coherent states, are readily made by the beam splitters and phase shifters.

We propose a feasible scheme for the quantum teleportation of tripartite entangled coherent state in terms of linear optical devices such as beam splitters, phase shifters and photo detectors. The scheme is based on the bipartite maximally entangled coherent state and the tripartite entangled coherent state with bipartite maximal entanglement as quantum channels. We consider the scheme proposed by Wang [Phys. Rev. A 64, 022302 (2001)] for teleporting bipartite entangled states using beam splitters and phase shifters. It is shown that the proposed scheme can be altered slightly so as to obtain an almost perfect teleportation for an appreciable mean number of photons. For mean number of photons equal to 2, the minimum of average fidelity which is the minimum of sum of the product of probability for occurrence of any case and the corresponding fidelity for an arbitrary bipartite entangled state is less than unity by a quantity of the order of ${10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$.

Continuous-Variable Quantum Teleportation of Entangled Coherent States

We propose a quantum teleportation scheme for tripartite entangled coherent state (ECS) with continuous variable. Our scheme is feasible and economical in the sense that we need only linear optical devices such as beam splitters, phase shifters and photon detectors and employ three bipartite maximally ECSs as quantum channels. We also generalize the tripartite scheme into multipartite case and calculate the minimum average fidelity for the schemes in tripartite and multipartite cases.
