Remote Preparation of Photon Polarization States within a Network

Abstract

We propose a new linear optical protocol for remote state preparation (RSP) between two parties under control of a number of controllers in terms of optical elements. The realization of this protocol is appealing due to the fact that the quantum state of light is robust against the decoherence, and photons are ideal carriers for transmitting quantum information over long distances.

We propose a new linear optical protocol for remote state preparation (RSP) between two parties under control of a number of controllers in terms of optical elements. The proposed setup involves simple linear optical elements, a N-photon polarization entangled state, and photon de tectors, witch have been widely used in experiment. The realization of this protocol is appealing due to the fact that quantum state of light is robust against the decoherence and photons are ideal carriers for transmitting quantum information over long distances.

Optical protocol for quantum state sharing of superposed coherent state

Yan Xia, Jie Song, He‐Shan Song

We propose an optical protocol for quantum state sharing of superposed coherent state in terms optical elements. Our protocol can realize a near-complete quantum state sharing of a superposed coherent state with arbitrary coeficients. The realization of this protocol is appealing due to the fact that the quantum state of light is robust against the decoherence and photons are ideal carriers for transmitting quantum information over long distances. This protocol can also be generalized to the multiparty system.

ontrolled implementation of two-photon controlled phase gate within a network

We propose a protocol to controlled implement the two-photon controlled phase gate within a network by using interference of polarized photons. The realization of this protocol is appealing due to the fact that the quantum state of light is robust against the decoherence, and photons are ideal carriers for transmitting quantum information over long distances. The proposed setup involves simple linear optical elements and the conventional photon detectors that only distinguish the vacuum and nonvacuum Fock number states. This can greatly simplify the experimental realization of a linear optical quantum computer.

Remote Preparation of Photon Polarization State via Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Channel

Jihang Ye, Daqing Wang, Yu Liu

Photon is desirable carrier for quantum information transfer owing to its robustness against decoherence mechanism during long-distance transmission. Currently, photon polarization is the primary method applied for quantum coding. In this paper, we realize remote state preparation (RSP) with photon polarization state through Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) entanglement. We give experimental proposals for our RSP schemes with optical devices including half wave plate (HWP), quarter wave plate (QWP), and Faraday mirror; then definitely get corresponding polarization for the second photon through detection of first photon with proper local operation and classical communication (LOCC). Descriptions of optical devices in real experiments are also discussed. This practical protocol can be applied for network infrastructure and distant communication.

Remote preparation of a general single-photon hybrid state

Meiyu Wang, Yuhong Zheng, Liangxue Fu +2 more

We present a technique for remotely preparing an arbitrary single-photon hybrid state between two distant nodes. This remote state preparation (RSP) is accomplished with a hyper-entangled state in polarization and time-bin degrees of freedom (DoFs) using some experimentally available optical elements and devices. In our RSP, the sender performs unitary operations on her hyper-entangled photon in accordance with her knowledge of the desired state to be transmitted. By performing a single-photon projective measurement and classical communication, the target state will be reconstructed at the remote receiver’s quantum system. Furthermore, we discuss the RSP via a partially hyper-entangled state. We expect our study can pave the way towards the investigation of long-distance quantum communication scenarios.

MULTIPARTY REMOTE STATE PREPARATION WITH LINEAR OPTICAL ELEMENTS

Yan Xia, Jie Song, He‐Shan Song +1 more

We present a linear optical protocol for multiparty remote state preparation (MRSP) in terms of optical elements. MRPS is a procedure for multiparty collaboration with each other to remote preparation of a known quantum state to a distant party. We show that it is possible to achieve unity fidelity remote preparation of the polarization state using optical elements. This protocol may be used for converging the split information at one point.
