Abstract

Dipole and cavity field transient spectra are investigated for a modified Jaynes-Cummings (JC) model due to the presence of a second harmonic generation (SHG) cavity field. For initially de-excited atom and field in a coherent state, detuning effects due to SHG affects the symmetry and splitting structure of both spectra.

Vladimír Bužek, Igor Jex, Martina Brisudová

We investigate the dynamics of the Jaynes-Cummings model with the cavity field initially prepared in the displaced number state. The time evolution of the atomic population inversion, squeezing of the cavity field and the emission spectra from the two-level atom are studied.

Atomic emission and cavity field spectra for a two-photon Jaynes–Cummings model in the presence of the Stark shift

Tahira Nasreen, M. S. K. Razmi

The emission spectrum of the atom and the cavity field spectrum of the two-photon Jaynes–Cummings model are studied, with the input field assumed to be in a number state, a thermal state, a squeezed vacuum state, and a coherent state. The effects of the Stark shift are highlighted. Both the emission and the cavity field spectra show central two-peak structures and no sidebands. A comparison with the one-photon Jaynes–Cummings model is carried out.

Cavity field spectrum of nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings modal with Kerr medium

Zhang Gui

The cavity field spectra for a nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings model with an additional Kerr medium are investigated by means of the quantum theory. The cavity field spectrum expression is driven. The numerical results for the initial fields in pure number state, coherent state and squeezed vacuum state are presented. It is found that two-peak structures appear with the initial field in pure number state. The center of the spectrum moves toward the high frequency under the regular of χ(2n-1).And the symmetry of the spectrum is destroyed when the Kerr-effect increase.Under the situation of the coherent state field or squeezed vacuum state with weaker Kerr-effect,the cavity field spectrum presents more non-classical property. When the Kerr-effect is strong the spectrum appears multi-peak structure. The spectrum structure was affected by Kerr-effect mostly. The nonlinear property of the spectrum vanishes because the coupling of the atom and field is suppressed by strong Kerreffect.

Atomic dipole squeezing and emission spectra of a nondegenerate two-photon Jaynes-Cummings model in the presence of Stark shift

Tahira Nasreen

The atomic dipole squeezing and the emission spectra in a nondegenerate two-photon Jaynes–Cummings model in the presence of Stark shift for various field inputs are studied. The percentage duration of the atomic dipole squeezing is greatly enhanced by the inclusion of the Stark shift. The emission spectra show an asymmetric central two-peak structure that is quite different from that in the absence of the Stark shift. When the fields are initially in the coherent state, asymmetric coherent sidebands emerge. The effect of atomic coherence on dipole squeezing and the emission spectrum have also been incorporated

Cavity field spectrum for multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model

Kuniaki Matsuo, H. Iwasawa

The field spectra in an ideal cavity for the multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model are studied. The analytical expression for the spectrum is obtained from the finite double-Fourier transform of the two-time field correlation function. The spectral differences between the initial coherent and initial thermal states are discussed, and the comparisons between the field spectra and atomic emission spectra for k = 2, 3 and 4 are presented. It is shown that the kth power of the photon annihilation operator and atomic lowering operator are subjected to identical forms of a second-order differential equation, in which the coefficients consist of the constants of motion. The field spectrum in the cavity and the emission spectrum of the atom for the initial vacuum state are compared.
