Deformed SU(2) Heisenberg chain

Stjepan Meljanac, Marijan Mileković, S. Pallua

The general Hamiltonian for the SU(2) q -invariant arbitrary-spin Heisenberg chain is presented. Some of these interactions are shown to satisfy braid group relations and the Temperley-Lieb algebra relations. Spin 3/2 is explored in more detail and, in this case, a general solution to the braid conditions is known in the generic sense.

A Note on the Symmetry Algebra of An Asymmetric XXZ Quantum Spin Chain

M. A. Rego-Monteiro

We show that an interesting open asymmetric XXZ quantum spin chain with surface fields is invariant under a two-parametric generalization of the slq(2) algebra with deformation parameters being a particular root of unit.

Algebraic Bethe ansatz forQ-operators: the Heisenberg spin chain

Rouven Frassek

We diagonalize Q -operators for rational homogeneous -invariant Heisenberg spin chains using the algebraic Bethe ansatz. After deriving the fundamental commutation relations relevant for this case from the Yang–Baxter equation we demonstrate that the Q -operators act diagonally on the Bethe vectors if the Bethe equations are satisfied. In this way we provide a direct proof that the eigenvalues of the Q -operators studied here are given by Baxter's Q -functions.

INTEGRABILITY OF OPEN SPIN CHAINS WITH QUANTUM ALGEBRA SYMMETRY

Luca Mezincescu, Rafael I. Nepomechie

We construct an open quantum spin chain from the “twisted” [Formula: see text]R matrix in the fundamental representation which has the quantum algebra symmetry Uq[ su (2)]. This anisotropic spin-1 chain is different from the Uq[ su (2)]-invariant chain constructed from the “untwisted” [Formula: see text] spin-1 R matrix (namely, the spin-1 XXZ chain of Fateev-Zamolodchikov with boundary terms) but, nevertheless, is also completely integrable. We discuss the general case of an R matrix of the type g(k), where k∈{1, 2, 3}, and g is any simple Lie algebra.

The Normal Ordering Procedure and Coherent State of the Q-Deformed Generalized Heisenberg Algebra

Won Sang Chung

In this paper we discuss the normal ordering procedure of the q-deformed generalized Heisenberg algebra. We also obtain the coherent state for some types of characteristic functions.

Bethe ansatz solution of a closed spin 1 XXZ Heisenberg chain with quantum algebra symmetry

Jon Links, Angela Foerster, Michael Karowski

A quantum algebra invariant integrable closed spin 1 chain is introduced and analyzed in detail. The Bethe ansatz equations as well as the energy eigenvalues of the model are obtained. The highest weight property of the Bethe vectors with respect to Uq(sl(2)) is proved.
