Abstract

We introduce states defined by \ensuremath{\Vert}\ensuremath{\alpha},m〉=${\mathit{a}}^{\mathrm{\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}}\mathit{m}}$\ensuremath{\Vert}\ensuremath{\alpha}〉 up to a normalization constant, where \ensuremath{\Vert}\ensuremath{\alpha}〉 is a coherent state and m an integer. We study the mathematical and physical properties of such states. We demonstrate phase squeezing and the sub-Poissonian character of the fields in such states. We study in detail the quasiprobability distributions and the distribution of the field quadrature. We also show how such states can be produced in nonlinear processes in cavities.

q-nonlinear cavity field states generated by the excitations on aq-coherent state

Lian-Fu Wei, Xi Ding-ping

It is shown that photon-excitation state defined by |α, k ⟩ q = â q † k |α⟩ q ( k =1,2,3...) up to a normalization constant can be produced in nonlinear processes in q -nonlinear cavities. The mathematical and quantum statistical properties of this state are studied in detail. We show that this state, along with the number states absented in it, forms a complete set. We also show by numerical method that this state exhibits quantum-squeezing for some values of |α| and always reveals quantum-antibunching effect.

Squeezing Character of Squeezed Photon-added Coherent States

Jia Xin-juan

This paper introduces the squeezed photon-added coherent states defined by |α,m,ξ〉=S(ξ)a+m|α〉up to a normalization constant, where |α〉is a coherent state,m an integer and S(ξ) a squeezing operator. It studies the mathematical and physical properties of such states.Phase squeezing character of the fields in such states is demonstrated. The conclusion shows that the more field quadrature x is squeezed, the larger squeezing parameter becomes.

Nonclassical properties of Hermite polynomial’s coherent state

Gang Ren, Jian-ming Du, Hai-jun Yu +1 more

In this paper, we introduce the Hermite polynomial’s coherent state (HPCS) |α〉H, which is defined as Hn(X)|α〉 up to a normalization constant and where Hn(X) is the coordinate operator’s Hermite polynomial of order nand |α〉=exp(−(1/2)|α|2+αa†)|0〉. This state may be produced by the superposition of some different photon added coherent states when n=2. The mathematical and physical properties of HPCS are also studied. It is shown that HPCS has remarkable nonclassical state features such as sub-Poissonian and squeezing properties.

Nonclassical Properties of a Class of Nonlinear Pair Coherent State

H. H. Salah

In the present work a class of nonlinear pair coherent state introduced depending on the form of the nonlinearity function with examining some of its nonclassical properties. In particular, it is shown that such state exhibits nonclassical properties such as squeezing and sub-Poissonian behaviour. Also, the quasiprobability distribution functions (Wigner-function, Q-function) are discussed. Finally, the phase properties in Pegg-Barnett formalism is considered.

Nonclassical properties of photon-added pair coherent states

H. Lu, Guo Guang-Can

The two-mode photon-added state defined by |?, q; m>?=?a+mb+m|?, q> up to a normalization constant is introduced, where |?, q> is a pair coherent state and m an integer. It is shown that the fields in such a state have remarkable quantum features such as sub-Poissonian statistics, violations of Cauch-Schwarz inequalities, correlations in the number fluctuations and squeezing. We examine the influence of photon-adding on the properties of pair coherent state, and propose a method of generating two-mode photon-added states in the context of cavity quantum electrodynamics.

NONCLASSICAL EFFECTS OF THE STATES GENERATED BY EXCITATIONS ON A COHERENT STATE OF A HARMONIC OSCILLATOR IN A FINITE-DIMENSIONAL HILBERT SPACE

YUAN-XING LI, QIN-MEI WANG, Jing‐Bo Xu

The mathematical and physical properties of the states which are generated by excitations on the coherent state of a harmonic oscillator in a finite-dimensional Hilbert space are studied. It is shown that the state exhibits squeezing in one of the quadratures of the field and sub-Poissonian photon statistics.
