Anomalous dc Characteristics of Josephson Tunnel Junction with High-Power Microwave
M. Koyanagi, Tadashi Endo, Akira Nakamura
Abstract
An anomaly is observed in the dc I - V curves of Pb alloy tunnel junctions with the microwave radiation of 9.4 GHz. The anomaly depends on the magnitude of radiation power and magnetic field. Most of the properties of the anomaly are explained with a model in which the microwave current traces the dc I - V characteristics just as a very low frequency current. The analysis of this phenomenon provides a simple method for the estimation of the microwave current amplitude.
