Abstract

We propose a deterministic scheme to realize N-atom Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state analyzer based on the cavity input–output process. In the scheme, we construct a two-qubit parity analyzer and a GHZ-state phase analyzer and show that all the N-atom GHZ states can be completely identified in a nondestructive way by combining these two kinds of analyzers. The fidelities of our analyzers are also calculated, which show that our scheme has a high performance in theory. The scheme opens promising perspectives for achieving efficient large-scale quantum communication and quantum information processing networks.

Complete and Nondestructive Atomic Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger‐State Analysis Assisted by Invariant‐Based Inverse Engineering

Ri‐Hua Zheng, Yi‐Hao Kang, Zhi‐Cheng Shi +1 more

Abstract A protocol to realize complete and nondestructive atomic Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ)‐state analysis in cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) systems is presented. In this protocol, the three information‐carrier atoms and the three auxiliary atoms are trapped in six separated cavities, respectively. After ten‐step operations, the information for distinguishing the eight different GHZ states of the three information‐carrier atoms is encoded on the auxiliary atoms. Thus, by means of detecting the auxiliary atoms, complete and nondestructive GHZ‐state analysis with high success probability is realized. Moreover, the driving pluses of operations are designed as a simple superposition of Gaussian or trigonometric functions by using the invariant‐based inverse engineering. Therefore, the protocol can be realized experimentally and applied in some quantum information tasks based on complete GHZ‐state analysis with less physical entanglement resource.

Complete deterministic multi-electron Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state analyzer for quantum communication

Hai‐Rui Wei, Bao‐Cang Ren, Mei Zhang +2 more

We present a scheme for the multi-electron Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state analyzer, resorting to an interface between the polarization of a probe photon and the spin of an electron in a quantum dot embedded in a microcavity. All the multi-spin GHZ states can be completely discriminated by using single-photon detectors and linear optical elements. Our scheme has some features. First, it is a complete GHZ-state analyzer for multi-electron spin systems. Second, the initial entangled states remain after being identified and they can be used for a successive task. Third, the electron qubits are static and the photons play a role of a medium for information transfer, which has a good application in quantum repeater in which the electron qubits are used to store the information and the photon qubits are used to transfer the information between others.

Complete Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger state analyzer using hyper-entanglement

Jiaming Wang, Meng-Zheng Zhu, Liu Ye

In this paper, we design a scheme where a polarization Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state can be completely and deterministically distinguished by adopting linear momentum degree of freedom as the ancillary qubits or change of roles between the momentum and polarization degrees of freedom. Two ways for distinguishing three-photon GHZ state can be achieved in just one quantum circuit.

Complete hyperentangled Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state analysis for polarization and time-bin hyperentanglement

Zhi Zeng

We present an efficient scheme for the complete analysis of hyperentangled Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state in polarization and time-bin degrees of freedom with two steps. Firstly, the polarization GHZ state is distinguished completely and nondestructively, resorting to the controlled phase flip (CPF) gate constructed by the cavity-assisted interaction. Subsequently, the time-bin GHZ state is analyzed by using the preserved polarization entanglement. With the help of CPF gate and self-assisted mechanism, our scheme can be directly generalized to the complete N-photon hyperentangled GHZ state analysis, and it may have potential applications in the hyperentanglement-based quantum communication.

Atomic Bell state and GHZ state analyzers based on cavity input-output processes

LI Ai-l

Non-destructive identification of entanglement is very important in quantum information processing.A scheme is proposed which constructs a controlled phase shifter(CPS) gate via the cavity input-output process. The CPS gate can be used to construct a parity analyzer(PA) with homodyne detection technology. Moreover,it uses the PAs,combined with some other operations,to construct the non-destructive atomic Bell state and GHZ state analyzers. The scheme has two advantages. It uses the coherent light and homodyne detection, which are much easier to be implemented than single photon source and single photon detection. The atomic Bell state and GHZ state analyzers constructed are non-destructive.All the methods and techniques used in this scheme are achievable in the present experiment.

Complete polarized photons Bell-states and Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger-states analysis assisted by atoms

Yan Xia, Yi‐Hao Kang, Pei-Min Lu

We propose an efficient protocol for complete polarized photons Bell-states and Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ)-states analysis assisted by atoms. With the help of assistant atoms and some simple liner optical elements, the analysis of both polarization Bell states and GHZ states can be performed completely. In our protocol, the assistant atoms are trapped in cavity quantum electronic dynamics (QED), which is feasible with current experimental technology. Moreover, the polarized photons entangled states will not be destroyed in our protocol. Therefore, our scheme might contribute to the quantum communication, quantum computation, and some other fields in quantum information processing.
