The Barut-Girardello and Klauder-Perelomov coherent states for the Kravchuk functions are constructed. It is shown that the resolution of unity condition is satisfied for both of the coherent states. Also in the N+1-dimensional Hilbert space spanned by the Kravchuk eigenstates, the appropriate measure and analytic function are obtained.
We explicitly construct a Hamiltonian whose exact eigenfunctions are the generalized Laguerre functions. Moreover, we present the related raising and lowering operators. We investigate the corresponding coherent states by adopting three different methods which are due to (i) Barut-Girardello, (ii) Gazeau-Klauder and (iii) Perelomov associated to Lie algebra su(1,1). Resolution of unity and overlapping properties are examined in each method.
We explicitly construct a Hamiltonian whose exact eigenfunctions are the generalized Laguerre functions. Moreover, we present the related raising and lowering operators. We investigate the corresponding coherent states by adopting the Gazeau–Klauder approach, where resolution of unity and overlapping properties are examined. Coherent states are found to be similar to those found for a particle trapped in a Pöschl–Teller potential of the trigonometric type. Some comparisons with Barut–Girardello and Klauder–Perelomov methods are noted.
We consider a class of generalized spin coherent states by choosing the labeling coefficients to be monopole harmonics. The latters are L2 eigenstates of the mth spherical Landau level on the Riemann sphere with m in Z+. We verify that the Klauder minimum properties for these states to be considered as coherent states are satisfied. We particularize them for the case of the Kravchuk oscillator and we obtain explicite expression for their wave functions. The associated coherent states transforms provide us with a Bargmann-type representation for the states of the oscillator Hilbert space. For the lowest level m = 0 indexing monopole harmonics, we identify the obtained coherent states to be those of Klauder-Perelomov type which were constructed in Ref.J. Math. Phys. 48, 112106 (2007)
The Clebsch–Gordan problems of the Barut–Girardello, and Perelomov coherent states of SL(2,R) are studied using the associated Hilbert spaces as the respective carrier spaces of the representations of the group. For the Barut–Girardello coherent states this Hilbert space is a subspace of the Bargmann–Segal Hilbert space B(C2) called the ‘‘reduced Bargmann space.’’ The generators of the group in this realization are essentially the boson operators of Holman and Biedenharn which provide a convenient starting point of the problem. For the Perelomov coherent states the associated Hilbert space turns out to be Bargmann’s canonical carrier space for the realization of the discrete series of representations, namely, the Hilbert space of functions analytic inside the open unit disc. The scalar product, the principal vector, and a complete orthonormal set in these Hilbert spaces are constructed and used for the explicit evaluation of the Clebsch–Gordan coefficients. For each of the coherent state systems the product state turns out to be the principal vector and, therefore, the coupled state itself is the Clebsch–Gordan coefficient. For the Barut–Girardello coherent states this is, apart from normalization, the product of a Bessel function and d-function. For the Perelomov coherent states, on the other hand, this closely resembles the Clebsch–Gordan coefficient of the SU(2) coherent states.
