Generation and concentration of multi-atom entangled states

Abstract

A direct entanglement concentration protocol for generalized GHZ states is proposed using entanglement swapping in cavity QED. Via this scheme, multi-atom maximally entangled states can be prepared free from the effects of the cavity decay and the thermal field, due to the fact that the interaction here is a large-detuned one between atoms and the cavity.

Dense Coding with Multi-Atom Entanglement Channel in Cavity QED

Xin-Wen Wang, Liu Xiang, Zhiyong Wang

Dense coding of multi-atom entangled states in cavity QED is studied. If the quantum channel is generalized GHZ states, dense coding can be directly realized in a simply way. As for the partially entangled pure states, we propose a feasible protocol for entanglement concentration, and the efficiency of information transmitted is calculated. The schemes are insensitive to the cavity decay and the field state, due to the fact that the interaction here is a large-detuned one between atoms and the cavity.

Entanglement concentration for unknown atomic entangled states via entanglement swapping

Ming Yang, Yan Zhao, Wei Song +1 more

An entanglement concentration scheme for unknown atomic entanglement states is proposed via entanglement swapping in cavity QED. Because the interaction used here is a large-detuned one between two driven atoms and a quantized cavity mode, the effects of the cavity decay and thermal field have been eliminated. These advantages can warrant the experimental feasibility of the current scheme.

Preparation of a New Type of Multiqubit Entangled States in Cavity QED

Xiong Wen-yuan, Xin-Wen Wang, Li-Xin Xia

Recently Yang, Chu, and Han [Phys. Rev. A 70 (2004) 022329] presented a new type of multipartite entangled states for implementing efficient many-party controlled teleportation of multiqubit quantum information. Here we propose a simple scheme for preparing such a type of multi-atom entangled states in cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED). The scheme involves atom-cavity interaction with large detuning, and is immune to the cavity decay and the thermal field states. Some practical analyses show its availability with the present technology.

Scheme for concentration of the unknown GHZ entangled states

Zhang Gang, Yang Ming, Zheng‐Yuan Xue +1 more

We propose two schemes for concentrating unknown nonmaximally tripartite GHZ entangled states via cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) techniques. The finial pure states obtained from the two schemes are shared by two or three parties. Our schemes only require large-detuned interaction between two driven atoms and the quantized cavity mode, which is insensitive to both the cavity decay and thermal field, thus the schemes are well within current experimental technology.

Entanglement concentration for multi-atom GHZ class state via cavity QED

Chunlei Jiang, Mao-Fa Fang, Zheng Xiao-Juan

In this paper, we propose a physical scheme to concentrate non-maximally entangled atomic pure states by using atomic collision in a far-off-resonant cavity. The most distinctive advantage of our scheme is that the non-maximally entangled atoms may be far from or near each other and their degree of entanglement can be maximally amplified. The photon-number-dependent parts in the effective Hamiltonian are cancelled with the assistance of a strong classical field, thus the scheme is insensitive to both the cavity decay and the thermal field.

Generation of Maximally Entangled States Via Entanglement Swapping

Zhiping Huang

A relatively simple scheme for generating maximally entangled photon-photon and atom-photon states via entanglement swapping using techniques of cavity QED is proposed. The scheme of preparing the maximally entangled photon-photon state does not require the transfer of quantum information between the atoms and cavity. In the scheme the cavity is only virtually excited and thus the requirement on the quality factor of the cavity is greatly loosened. The scheme of preparing the maximally entangled atom-photon state based on the two-photon JaynesCummings model only requires detecting the state of the single atom rather than a joint-Bell measurement.
