Abstract

We propose a scheme for preparing multiple-photon GHZ state via cavity-assisted interaction. There are n -pair single-photon pulses successively injected and reflected from two sides of the cavity, which traps one atom. After the atomic state is measured, a 2 n -photon GHZ state is produced. In the ideal case, the successful probability of the scheme is close to unity.

Generation of n-Atom GHZ State via Two-sided Cavity QED

Faqiang Wang

The scheme was proposed to generate multiple-atom GHZ state via the state-of-the-art two-sided cavities.A single-photon pulse could not only be reflected but also be transmitted through the two-sided cavity with a single trapped atom, which is in certain state.Entanglement between the trapped atom and the input field was resulted in this property. The numerical simulations showed that the produced multiple-particle GHZ state had high fidelity and success probability. The intrinsic noise, such as the atomic spontaneous emission, only led to the error probability and had no influence on the fidelity. In addition, the high-Q cavity and the Lamb-Dicke condition of atom were not required, which expanded the possibility of experimental realization.

Preparation of n -Atom GHZ State and Implementation of Quantum-State Transfer via Cavity Decay

Chen Li-Bo, Du Qian-Hua, Lin Gong-Wei +2 more

We propose schemes to prepare n-atom Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger (GHZ) state via two-sided cavities interacting with single-photon pulses, and achieve quantum state transfer (QST) from one atom to another atom. Entanglement particle pair and the control of coupling between qubits are of no need in the QST process. Some practical quantum noises only decrease the success probabilities of the schemes but have no influence on the fidelity of prepared state. In addition, the success probabilities of our schemes are close to unity in the ideal case.

Generation of entangled coherent states through cavity-assisted interaction

We propose schemes to generate an n-coherent-pulse GHZ state and a cluster state via the interaction between n coherent pulses and a two-sided cavity. In these schemes, a strong coupling condition is not needed, which makes the protocols possibly able to be implemented based on the current experiment technology.

Simple scheme for generating an n -qubit W state in cavity QED

Zhi Jiao Deng, Mang Feng, K. Gao

A simple scheme is proposed to generate an $n$-qubit $W$ state in cavity QED. Conditioned on no photon leakage from the cavity, the $n$-qubit $W$ state can be generated by resonant interaction between atoms and the cavity if the cavity is initially prepared in the single-photon state and all the atoms are in the ground states. We check the time evolution of the system involving decay, and show that, since the required interaction time is very short, with present cavity QED techniques, the success probability of our scheme is almost unity.

We propose a scheme to generate the multi-photon cluster states via the cavity input-output process and the single-bit rotations. The method can be generalized to construct a series of multi-photon graph states, and the successful probability is close to unity in the ideal condition.

Generation of atomic Greenberger–Horne–Zeilinger states and cluster states through cavity-assisted interaction

Huang Xiu-Hua, Xiu‐Min Lin, Lin Gong-Wei +2 more

This paper proposes a scalable scheme to generate n -atom GHZ states and cluster states by using the basic building block, i.e., a weak coherent optical pulse |α〉 being reflected successively from a single-atom cavity. In the schemes, coherent state of light is used instead of single photon source, homodyne measurement on coherent light is done instead of single photon detection, and no need for individually addressing keeps the schemes easy to implement from the experimental point of view. The successful probabilities of our protocols approach unity in the ideal case.
