Abstract

Energy eigenvalues and transition-probabilities for the anharmonic oscillator are calculated by evaluating functional integrals in a lattice-space and reordering infinite series in summable series. The results are compared with the known values.

Orthogonalitätsrelationen der mehrzeitigen erzeugenden Funktionale des Harmonischen Oszillators

R Weber

Abstract We treat the one-dimensional harmonic oscillator completely in the field theoretic calculus of many time generating functionals. Without the results of common quantum mechanics we compute eigen values and functionals of the energy preparing all information of the harmonic oscillator. As an example of functional integration and for applications in scattering theory we prove orthonormality relations of these functionals.

Post-Gaussian variational method for quantum anharmonic oscillator

Akihiro Ogura

Using the post-Gaussian trial functions, we calculate the variational solutions to the quantum-mechanical anharmonic oscillator. We evaluate not only the ground state but also some excited energies, and compare them with numerical results.

An analysis of states in the phase space: the anharmonic oscillator

Sebastiano Tosto

The paper introduces a simple quantum model to calculate in a general way allowed frequencies and energy levels of the anharmonic oscillator. The theoretical basis of the approach has been introduced in two early papers aimed to infer the properties of quantum systems exploiting the uncertainty principle only. For clarity the anharmonic oscillator is described having in mind the lattice oscillations of atoms/ions, yet quantum formalism of the model and approach have general character and can be extended to any oscillating system. The results show that the harmonic energy levels split into a complex system of energy levels dependent upon the number of anharmonic terms that characterize the oscillator.
