Quantum Squeezing and Entanglement in Continuously‐Monitored Generalized Dicke Model with Single‐Emitter's Decay

Siming Zhu, Zhencai Wu, 谭华堂 +2 more

ABSTRACT In this paper, we investigate steady‐state quantum squeezing and entanglement in a generalized Dicke model, which features Jaynes–Cummings (JC) and anti–Jaynes–Cummings (AJC) interactions with different strengths, by taking into account of single‐atom spontaneous emission and continuous homodyne detection of the cavity field. We find that a reduction in the strength of the AJC interaction can lead to atomic squeezing, which is otherwise absent when the strengths of the two interactions are equal. Likewise, cavity‐field squeezing and atom‐field entanglement can be enhanced as the strength of the AJC interaction is reduced. Furthermore, continuous measurement is shown to significantly enhance both the squeezing and entanglement in both normal and superradiant phases. In addition, it is revealed that under certain conditions, single‐atom spontaneous emission can also improve the squeezing and entanglement. Our results reveal distinctive characteristics of quantum correlations in the open Dicke model and suggest a promising route for realizing robust nonclassical states in such systems.

Entanglement Dynamics of Two Atoms in a Double Damping Jaynes-Cummings System*

Zhi-Jian Li, Jing Zhang, Feng-Xian 凤仙 Huang 黄 +2 more

Abstract The entanglement between two stationary qubits is a kind of valuable quantum resources in quantum information or quantum network. This paper investigates the time evolution of the entanglement between two atoms, which are initially prepared in the Bell states and each of which interacts with its own cavity field in the identical and non-identical double damping Jaynes-Cummings (J-C) system. It mainly considers the effect of the atomic spontaneous decay Γ and the decay of cavity field κ on the two-qubit entanglement in such system. While causing the decay of entanglement, Γ and κ can also play a positive role in the entanglement evolution, which may imply a way to better control and maintain the entanglement. What is more, the rules governing the transfer of entanglement between two-qubit subsystems in strong coupling regime are finally studied by taking Γ and κ into consideration .

Nonequilibrium dynamics of the dispersive Jaynes–Cummings model by a non-Markovian quantum master equation

Masashi Ban

Decoherence of the dispersive Jaynes–Cummings model which is placed in a lossy cavity is studied by means of the time-convolutionless non-Markovian quantum master equation. The effect of the interaction between a two-level atom and photon field on the damping operator of the quantum master equation is made clear by calculating the decay of coherence and entanglement of the relevant system. It is shown that although the interaction effect on the damping operator is small when the cavity loss has the Markovian property, it becomes significantly large when the cavity loss is subject to the non-Markovian process. Furthermore, the quantum channel of the two-level atom derived by the dispersive Jaynes–Cummings model is investigated. The decay of entanglement of the two two-level atoms is examined to show the importance of the interaction effect on the damping operator.
